electrical, masking, etc...
a little off topic. dont use teflon tape for air fittings. it will break off and mess ur tools up.
I have electrical tape in 3 quality levels and 4 colors, non-adhesive friction tape for interior wiring harnesses, duct tape, 3M yellow masking tape, 3M green masking tape, 3M blue masking tape, some cheapo junk masking tape, yellow Teflon tape, white Teflon tape, and Scotch tape. I use it all!
I forgot 3M trim tape, 1/8" 3M fineline tape, and aluminum HVAC tape (great for masking during pressure washing).

I love teflon tape for oil drain bolts!

I've used teflon for many years and never broken a fitting. Only worn them out to where they leak so bad they had to be replaced. Due to wear, not the teflon.
Just my experience.
Fittings leak like a sieve without it.

Not if you wrap it on properly.
I bought mine at Ace. It's very similar to non-adhesive hockey tape, it might be exactly the same. It's not really good for anything that will get wet/oily/hot though. I use it for quick, cheap abrasion protection since dash insides are usually sharp.

Anyone know what they use for automotive wiring harnesses under the hood?
