by far the best design you can really reach some hard to get hose clamps.

get this and hose pilers ( round tip needle nose like) good stuff

+1 ^^^ They are GREAT! I do a lot of coolant and P/S flushes, and some cars have clamps in spots you won't reach with pliers.

Don't have to get snap on though. Those cost $100...tooltopia.com have some for about half that. I traded some un-needed sockets in for them.

snap-on man was just here.
I got the PWCS7 pliers last week, and then he showed me a PL300PWCS7 promo kit, so I got that and he credited me for the PCWS7. If you can swing the $105, definitely do it. The PWCS7 is $42, the 87CF Cutters are $37.95, the 47CF pliers are $30, and the 96CF needle nose are $37.75. Also replaced my little pocket screwdriver that was showing it's age and had broke the pocket tab off it.

I also refurb'd some 3/8 ratchets recently with a new hard handle on the bigger and a NOS carb adjustment tool handle on the smaller

SDD224o goes for around $9
buy1.snapon.com/sdd224o

The magnet kind of ***** though.
It was a freebie replacement for my old weathered sdd204o that didn't have a magnet so it was kind of a bonus, but the mini pocket clip screwdrivers they give away have a better magnet. Lol

Got these from JTSupply from this board

View media item 16466
View media item 16465Not very good images I guess. They seem nice, not really a set but all USA and all Wright.

No 9/16 or 5/8....they go right from 3/4 to 1/2. I think the logo is a bit suspect....do you think they could be knock offs?

Last part of my order finally arrived. That metal box is so retro cool. Love it! This is my first Japanese tool. And they even put a sticker inside the box.

I originally got a 1/4 t72 brand new from the classifieds here and loved it so I then got the F80 and lastly the S80A. I had no idea they were going to be so smooth. I for sure wont be going back to cheap tools ever.

Epstein's ROCKS. I want to plan a 'field trip' to Kansas City with some co-workers :D

Agreed! I'm fortunate enough to live a few blocks from Epsteins. If nobody has posted pictures before, maybe I'll take some pictures next time I'm there. Many years ago, downtown KC condo developers tried to push Epsteins out of the neighborhood, luckily with the help of some prominent local artist and businesses, people realized what a local gem of business Epsteins is.

Tip for Epstein newbies: All their prices are written backwards?

been looking for this for a while!!! hard to find with all the blades and pouch. I spent a little more than I wanted but these bring high prices for some reason

I want one. I haven't seen one in that good of shape, though! Where'd you get it, and if you don't mind sharing how much you paid, I know they fetch some big money sometimes...

I got it off eBay. I paid 125.00 for it (buy it now). Like I said more than I wanted to spend but I seen these go for for almost 200.00 in this condition.

Thursday's Tool Run

Hello everyone!
Long time lurker... yet love this site!
Cash strapped at the moment, yet I thought to my self: get at least 2 new tools every month.
I've been meaning to track down one of the SnapOn or Matco trucks when I see them driving around... yet that doesn't happen often.
So until that time, I went to Sears today.
Bought a 12" pry bar
Magnetic pick-up tool (telescoping pencil-size) for $3
Two utility knifes (can never have enough)
A nifty "Tool Box Level" for which I've been in need like a dozen times.
And... my grandfather gave me this weekend one of the cheapest quasi-tool sets I have ever seen. In my life.

toolsRun4.jpg

It must be the age, because my grandfather has always been my tool/handyman hero.
Since little, everything has been Craftsman (he has 91 years, so keep in mind his Craftsman tools are old... from the 40s/50s??).
Yet with age... he just... gets this... ****.
I know he has the best intentions, so I'm always happy to receive them and tell him "Thank you! I'm going to find great use for these!"

I know that when he no longer is around to give me these "crappy tools", I will miss him very, very much.
So I'll take everything coming from him =)

And finally, got this about 2 weeks ago... a "just like new" hp 48GX.
RPN is sweet... moving over from the TI to this now.

hp48GX.jpg

Very happy to be here guys!

Went to get my truck serviced at pep boys and they were having 1/2 on their power built and alltrade tools. Pick up couple of little things. A set of security torx with socket connection. A set of 2 inch wobbles 1/4, 2/8 and 1/2. And 14 dollars for a set of metric 1/2 impact sockets. All tools are made in taiwan.

This is the second time I have brought tools not form the EU to the US. But these are things I do not used to often, so I can not see spending allot for things that are for occasion uses. The wobble works nicely on my craftsmen sockets.

I still have my trusty 48GX from my Engineering school days, and recently picked up a old-new-stock 41CX that I will treasure!

MD11, what are those two smaller squares (solid-ish, I assume) graduated in? 64ths, 32nds, etc? I've been looking around for something like that.

yes, both 32nd and 64ths

they're great, and priced at a fraction of the Solid ungraded ones...

6" is 13C - $87
4" is 13A - $54

both US Made

i have no fancy SO or Matco tools to show off here; not within my budget. But got this delivered today, which is an upgrade for me compared to the crappy HFT stuff I've been using (and that I keep breaking):

Got the rest of my Enco order today. Transfer punch set, measuring stuff, center drill set and best of all a Kalamazoo belt sander. The sander (and motor) is made in USA. All at 20% off.

Are you going to sharpen drill bits and such on you kazoo? I look at it in the Enco dogalog wondering if it's a want/need.
