ratchet seems to work fine though

Didn't realize it was missing pieces, but you will be able to complete the set with a bit of work by watching the Classifieds here (& elsewhere).

well it has 3/4 - 11/16 - 5/8 - 9/16 - 1/2 - (2) 7/16 - 11/32 - 5/16 - 9/32 - 7/32

As best I can tell I'm missing 3/8 - 1/4 - 3/16

does that sound right?

I don't think they're all original to the set...I know I know (2) 7/16 can't be original.

9/16 and 5/8 seem slightly deeper than the rest. They are all fleet USA though

you near Providence Silver?

You can see where the screw is missing from the ratchet too...should I just get on from wherever for that?

I appreciate you guys having a look for those sockets! It would be cool to fill the set. Just let me know what ya need to get for them and how you like to be paid.

Nice, that's about ~$30 on eBay. I'll check my Fleet collection for those sockets too.

There is one on ebay now without the nut driver and the starting bid is $50

2 towns north of the RI(woonsocket)/MA border. Millville, MA. I'm close to 122 and 146.

I'm 2 town east of the border in Rehoboth off of RT44

Fleet is part of the Plomb/Proto empire. That same ratchet has been made with the following names, Plomb, Proto, Fleet, Firestone, Craftsman, Penens,True Test and one was made for M-Wards, but I don't remember the name right off hand. There are many still around. The design dates from the late 1930s/early 1940s.

Very nice buy - That would be a handy set to store in a vehicle and for $10 you cant go wrong - you cant even buy a china set for that.

Individual and small sets of Fleet sockets are often seen on flea-bay.
They pretty much have NO name recognition, so they do NOT command a premium price.

Good luck!

I think you may be able to use the 2 conical springs and 2 struts out of a modern Proto ratchet. The toothed wheel is a different size. I am always buying extra ratchets for parts to fix up the best ones in my collections. Keep a eye out on all the popular places for extra parts or whole rachets.
