Faaaaack... not much chance of it still being there (at that price) when I'm in that neck of the woods (Winston-Salem) around early March.(2) 52pc impact socket modules $99.99
It happened a few weeks back in my local HD. But right now, all Channellock sales are gone and they are back to normal price at $20-$25FWIW I was at my home depot today. The Channellock electrical crimpers, Channellock Adjustable, and the smaller Linesman with dog leg handled we $9.00 each on yellow label clearance. I asked the HD employee why they were on clearance and he said no idea.

Went to Sears today and they had the 18piece wrench set. I called the manager over and asked why they cancelled my store pick up order when they had them. He apologized and gave it to me for the price I ordered it online for $44.99. They also had the larger wrench set that bought.

For my trouble he also took an additional 10% off my entire order.
sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while...is that how low they got? $44.99 for the 18-piece pro set?
yes, it is. The list price is $49.99, and $5 off 50 coupon there.
ok, i'm confused...we're talking about these, right?

I thought list was $99 or something? I paid $58 in Dec or Jan, i think.
are we talking about the same thing?

Just got my set of 10 Polished Craftsman Professional wrenches today. Made in USA. This was quite a deal - about 7 bucks a wrench. I even managed to get free shipping. I clicked store pick up because it showed 1 set left and of course the count was off so they offered me free shipping and they arrived today. I picked up the set of smaller size wrenches when they were on sale - so now I'm complete. Don't know when they are switching over to all Chinese stock but they already have at our local store on the polished wrenches so i feel lucky to have gotten these.

Lucky you! I got screwed, my shipment came today but it was the 18 piece packed in the 10 piece box. Now I gotta see if there are any local sets for an exchange otherwise I'm SOL...![]()

The deal seems to still be up. You could always order another set - they will probably refund your shipping if they sent you the wrong product. The ones in the store near us are all Chinese. This package I got was definitely NOS. The color on the box was faded and there were spots and stains on the outside of the box. I'm guessing they are clearing these out
Looks like the deal is dead, can't order them online anymore...
You think there's any chance this $9 for 3 Stanley pliers might be 'made in USA'?

The HD policy is that is must be the exact same product. Usually, you can't compare a 20% off coupon for some junk Pittsburgh adjustable wrench when your trying to buy a Crescent brand that's made in USA. That's what HD's corporate office had in mind...![]()
That's completely idiotic.
For the rest of the civilized world, it is manager-specific. I would venture to say even given that, the odds of success are not great. Worth a shot, but don't be pissed if you get shot down.
Toilet paper? Really? No wonder managers don't want to honor the coupon.
I think he got lucky and the person at HD that took it did not understand their price match/coupon policy.
Like I said, "lucky". I would bet that if you look at the published coupon/price matching policy of any major retail chain, the competitors coupon or advertised discount has to list the specific item and that item has to be also sold in the store you are trying to redeem in. A generic "20% off" is an abuse of the policy.
I am not knocking the guy that got the great deal on the Cresent wrench, but his coupon should have been for the exact Cresent wrench from Harbor Freight for which we all know HF does not sell.
I would like to see someone go buy a high dollar mower or snow blower at lowes/HD and whip that 20% coupon out and see how it works.
I got the new Northern-tool promo codes today. They are good until 04/07/2012
