List of stuff still at the local sears:

sale price, sticker price, description.
50 (~100$) 3/8" "build a set" thingy. (ratchet, sockets, etc.) USA. (1 left)
64 (~129$) 18-piece full polish wrench set (gone)
84 (~169$) 10 piece "large" full polish wrench set (1 left)

PM me if you want me to pick something up. Sorry to say but the impact set was full price... $200. Blah.

both 18 piece sets are going to Demon4x4 and Frednoah.

10 piece set should still be there if anyone wants it.

As for you Bolster, I'm pretty darn sure they're not made here.. you can order it and send it back if they aren't, but from what I've seen, you're going to get Taiwan or China made tools.

Interesting reply from Stanley:

Hi,

This set of pliers is made in the USA.

Thanks,

- stanleytools

...not sure I believe them with what the GJ members have said.

If they are made in the USA, that's pretty sweet, however, the fact remains that for just a few bucks more, you could get some Channellocks, which we KNOW are made in the USA and in my opinion, are better in terms of quality over the Stanley.

Nothing "wrong" with the Stanley pliers, if they're to be used for light-to-moderate work, but I wouldn't expect to be employing them full-time and have them hold up as well as say, Channellocks.

Of course, you could always go German...

I missed the reference to where this code is for

mscdirect.com

Sorry about that, but yeah - RKA got it.

Are there certain things it cannot be used on? I tried it on some transfer punches and it didn't apply a discount.

Here is the "fine print" text:

*Certain exclusions apply. Discounts may not apply to certain vendors including, but not limited to, Chicago-Latrobe, Cleveland Twist, SPI, Brown & Sharpe and Jacobs Mfg. Offer subject to change or cancellation without notice. For sale items, discount will be taken off of current catalog price. If an item is on sale and a promotion code is applied, MSC will automatically provide you the lowest of the two prices. Items are discounted up to the discount shown or to the maximum extent possible for a particular manufacturer. Free Shipping is valid on all standard ground orders including Next Day Air Saver for customers who do not participate in any UPS Collect, 3rd Party Billing, or Consignee Billing Program. Offer is not valid for any Premium Air Upgrades or COD orders. Offer expires on 3/22/12 at 11:30pm EST.

3 peak hp, wow, that is a SMALL motor, less than half the size of my shopvac I think.

anything plugging into a 120VAC 15A circuit isn't realistically going to do more than 2.4HP... or you'll exceed the 15A on the circuit and trip the breaker. the HP ratings on a lot of "tools" are exaggerated...

Did anyone get an extra set of the chrome/full polished wrenches?

None of my stores local to me had them.

Well, i have to concur with the use of 20% off HF coupons at HD/Lowes. The ones by me will take them, and i even had the local Lowes take a handful of them...I simply explained to the manager that i had a few items to buy, and rather than spreading out the purchases, would she let me just use them all in one purchase......She agreed, and said i could use as many coupons as i had....She informed the head cashier to approve it, and i went to tools, and grabbed my $800+ worth of Dewalt cordless gear, and wango bango 20% off it all....

Dewalt 18v Multi tool kit
Dewalt Cordless 1/2" impact
Dewalt 2 pack extra batteries
Dewalt 2 position charger/battery
Dewalt cordless jig saw

Very nice night for my toolbox.

My next purchase will be a Generator with the coupon.....and yes, i have asked...they will take it. I already have the managers name that i spoke too...happens to be the store manager.

Just a followup on HF coupons at Lowes and HD. Went to both this morning in Harper Woods, MI. Lowes says they have a new policy NOT to accept them. HD still does no problem.
And to make this correct for the hot deal index, I picked up the 8" USA made Crescent adjustable to go with the 10" from the other day. It had been marked down to $7, but was now $6 and with the 20% was $5. Maybe I'll get another for the grand kids toolbox.

Gray Tools SAE and Metric Stubby Wrenches $61/Shipped

Not sure about posting links to eBay listings (no affiliation), but I found this deal and thought I would post since Gray is so hard to find in the US and expensive. The ad did not show if these were Made in Canada, so I emailed the seller and they updated the listing with a better description and added another picture of the wrenches showing country of origin. They said these are close outs from a industrial mining store and didn't have much info except that they are industrial black oxide finished. I tried scaling the 19mm wrench and I'm guessing it is in the neighborhood of 6.25"! I bought 2 sets, and think there are about 10 more available. 2 complete sets 6mm-19mm and 1/4"-3/4" with wrench racks for $61 shipped! They also have the metric set by itself for $43! I called Gray to check on a price since they aren't on their website and they thought they may have been a special production run for the mines as the part number on the 12mm refers to the same wrench, but in chrome. These are pretty large sets, so I would think they would be well over $250 based on comparing similar chrome vs. black oxide on other websites. I just ordered today, so I cannot speak for the quality, but think they will be well worth the price. Anyway, I hope someone finds these useful!

Anyone have screen caps of the 10 and 18 pc wrench module with its lower price?

My sears also had quiet glide intermediate 3 drawer chests on clearance for $50 each (black and red) and a ton of 2 drawer quiet glides for $25(black only). As well as Five or six 6 drawer top boxes for $100... I resisted the urge to buy any since I want a new HF gloss red box.

Anybody who just bought multiple sets of the Gray stubbies want to sell one, metric and standards? I have been needing a set for the truck and missed these. PM me if you would part with one set and what your price would be shipped to Missouri 65101.

Thanks,

MOJoWales

I typed in seveal brands and came up with everything but what I wanted. Nice easy way to start a business. Getting kick back for every sale is smart.
Sorry but I could not get it to work and if you can think of it I more than likely already have it or don't need it.
I never buy new tools or machinery. Only parts are new and many times they are used.

you can buy the 23pc. set direct from their website. Comes out to be $56.89 shipped from Canada to the US. Cheaper than their ebay auction.

Big thumbs up for this link. I just ordered a set. I've been needing another set to keep in the truck for awhile and these fit the bill perfectly. To anyone who was considering selling me a set they ordered thanks but I'm covered now.

Thanks again,

MOJoWales

Another big thumbs up for the link. They were out of the 23 pc set, but I was able to pick up 2 of the 14 metric sets for $58 ($19 per set plus $20 shipping). 4 sets still available a minute ago. Much better deal than the $43 for the same set still on Ebay.

Those Gray "stubby" wrenches are misnomer. They are really a intermediate size wrench between a true stubby and a normal full size wrench. I seen that auction about 2 months ago and did not pull the trigger because of them not being traditional stubby sized.
