So after banging my head on the wall about the hf 56inch and masterforce boxes, luckily,After being patient and searching day and night I found this box on cl and it turns out it was only 5 min from my house!
The PO is a mercedes tech and for one they installed built ins which kinda screwed a bunch of people and for two he just got a job offer to go work in FL. He was asking 1500 so I jumped on it like a fly on ****, I even think I lost a little sleep:headscrat
Loaded it up in my cargo van and away I went. I just couldn't wait to see it in the garage so I even managed to unload the beast myself all 600lbs of it! I went from my humble craftsman 255 piece plastic box (served me well for some time) to this beast in comparison. I am VERY happy with the box. Now I have a place to put all the tools I don't have (yet)

Wow. Looks like it's in great shape; you got quite a deal. I haven't seen any KRL's locally in decent condition for anything approaching that price.

Thats awesome that you got such a good deal! I hope you responded in regular craigslist fashion and talked him down at least 300 bucks lol.

I did not know that was craigs etiquette, I paid full asking price.I am a cheapo but I thought this was extremely fair and it was like 7 mins away, literally 3 miles away.It was late at night (9 or later) and he helped me load it not to mention the gas savings. I was willing to go a hundred miles for that "great deal".Funny thing is, there was a guy in rockford about an hour 15 away that had a krl 722 for 2k obo that I called too.and I actually thought that he was the guy with the blue box (mine)when he called me back and I said I'll be there today to buy it. Then I got to thinking, so I called him and said his cl posting says mchenry and he said wha? that's wierd I said yeah I guess so. so I called him back and said this is for the blue snap on box right? he said no.I said ok wait till I get home to check the listing so I did when I got home It was for the 722 I called him back and told him I was actually looking at a different box but the owner hasn't contacted me yet so I asked what his bottom dollar was, he said 19 I said I can't ( which I really couldn't) and he was rude and said fine I got four people coming over so I guess It's your loss. I said ok gl with the sale and hung up.I was kinda bummed. So I took a nap after a day of trenching in the mud and working on scaffolding installing windows on the second floor all day. I woke up to the blue box guy calling me and I said I'll be right over, went over and bought it on the spot,I didn't even know how to open a drawer nor did I.He emptied his stuff and we shot the **** told me about the 93 stang he has for sale, loaded up the tool box and home I went.

$1500.00 ??? The one's around here are asking $3000.00 to $3500.00 for them a year or two old. Of course they don't seem to be selling at that price - as they show up on CL month after month. Sounds like you found a really motivated seller..

good for you,
Carl B.

Nice score, always gotta be patient.

I know what you mean when you said lost sleep, same thing happened to me for a week working on getting my box.

Good luck with it.

That is absolutely sweet... I don't own or desire any Snap On tools, the one exception
to this rule is a minty condition used Snap On box, they just seem so well built and have
very well designed drawer layouts. I have a feeling before I ****** off upstairs I will end up
owning a Snappy box........ and then put all my Facom tools in it... :D

Extremely nice for sure! I'm still stoked on how far the drawers pull out

That box is deep. I use to have a 722 and just upgraded to a 1022 and the difference in cu in of space is crazy. Now lots of other toolboxes just look tiny:D

Thats a fairly new box with the two full length top drawers. Crazy good deal, for that price I would never think of trying to talk him down.

Stealing like that is somewhere around felony level isn't it?:lol_hitti

Jeeeesssshhhhh 1500 bucks......It does make me feel good about the trade in price I got on my 1022 / 1201 / 1012 setup, though -- dealer guy probably won't be able sell it if stuff is selling like this......
