This is a pretty decent deal on a USA made 3/4" drive socket set:

http://www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com/KD-21-Piece-3-4-Inch-Drive-Sae-Socket-Set-5120002041999.html

It's 21pcs., 7/8" to 2", Ratchet, Breaker bar, T-handle, and U-joint in a metal case. I saw people getting all excited over Craftsman 3/4" ratchets for $55, and this is the whole shebang for just over twice that.

The only thing is that shipping may kill it for those who are farther away. There's only two available, so jump on it if interested.

Huh I was going to give those ratchets a try at that price, but as usual the sear's site is taunting me with products I cant purchase. Looks like free shipping if you buy more than $50 too. Maybe Ill try again tonight and get a buddy to go in with me

I added them about 8:45 but had a coupon code so I didnt purchase right away and then it wouldn't go through, so somewhere in the last half hour we missed it. I'm pissed too because I need a 1/2" ratchet. If one of you who got the great deal want to pass the awesome savings on to a fellow GJ member with the 1/2" ratchet I would appreciate it.

yeah, one link says
"Item not added to cart.
We are sorry, this item couldn't be added to your cart. Please try again later."

when you try to add them.
The other page says
"This item is temporarily unavailable. To find a similar item, scroll down or enter a term in the search box above."
But it is a good price.

Thanks. I have already have 2 of the 3/8's ratchets and 1, 1/4, but it's still a good deal. In for 1

Yeah, I picked up a set too, to add to my 15000 other ratchets. :lol_hitti:

So you guys got them to go through?

Yes newer oils seem to be going this way however its important to mention that its "earth friendly" only when its new. Once you put it through your engine the same rules apply as any oil.

Hehe yeah you can't just dump it in the back yard when you're done with it.

On the thin profile ratchet deal, They said they would price match for 14 days.

The lady on the phone said we could also go to the store, but I'm doubtful about that one.

I'll update in a few days.

Unable to add to cart - tried the chat - got all the way through the purchase process and at the last moment said it was unable to purchase - tried calling the stupid Blue Crew - no luck there either.

I'm like an old dog that keeps getting kicked - I go back again and again thinking maybe this time Sears will come through... argh so frustrating and disappointing - part of me will be glad when there are no more Made in the USA tools from Craftsman so I will stop going to Sears.

Did you get to the payment section? I was able to get it in my cart twice and once I entered my coupon codes it made me refresh and then said my cart was empty and then I couldn't add it again. WTF Sears?!

Awe man, I just paid $50 a few weeks ago and thought 50% was a good deal. This sears thin profile set is a different part number than what was offered at $49.99 during their previous sale. My 44992 set was made in the USA, though some store sets I saw were made in Asia. It looks identical to #33442, so what's the difference? I'm guessing the 33442 comes in a white box instead of a hanging plastic holder.

Sears is by far the worst company I've dealt with online. If it wasn't for my total love of tools, I would walk away. I won't bore you with details, but I've placed 4 orders in the past week and everyone of them was either an issue after the fact, no pickup email, out of stock after 3 days, charge my CC then no shipment,, they are just plain and simple awful. There entire IT department should be fired.

I just went to the store and they did price match it. I printed the page up and he checked online then did it. It's worth a shot if you want it.

I couldn't agree more. Searching for tools on their Craftsman site is horrific. I was searching for specific socket sizes for extras and I typed in the exact thing I was looking for and it still did not bring up the correct socket in the top results.

Don't bother calling Sears for a price adjustment or you'll be begging for the 2 hours of wasted time back like I am right now. Kind of strange how they have multiple item number and multiple links with multiple prices to the same 3 pc. ratchet set.

I also wouldn't put so much value on the Sears Lifetime Warranty. Yesterday, I attempted to return a 10-15 year old 3/8 ratchet to Sears that is locked up. The particular ratchet was the top of the line back then (non quick release) and has no model number at all on the ratchet. I was offered the bottom of the line, $13.99 china special as a replacement. After refusing to accept the replacement, I was given my broken ratchet and an 800 number to call. I am now 20 minutes into a call trying to get a satisfactory replacement and all I'm being told is that I need to take the 45 min. drive back to the store for warranty replacement. Sounds like I'll be entering into a continuous loop. All said and done, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time. Lesson learned: the US made ratchet you buy today with a lifetime warranty probably won't be the one you get down the road as a replacement.

It all depends on who you deal with. I warrantied an old ratchet they don't carry anymore and they tried to give me the RP ratchet in the same size even though my old one was a nicer ratchet. I asked the man if I could get the thin profile instead since they only had the two types and he said ok. It just helps to ask and also get lucky and have a good cs person, which at sears is becoming more rare.

I called my store to see if they would price match and they said hey would only price match if the site did. It specify "online only" which it does. Plus the item numbers are different. I think you just got lucky. I don't think my sears would be as generous.

I think originally the website linked to 944992 and didn't specify online only. That has been changed now. I can't even get the Craftsman Club deals to come up now. The regular site has been changed. I just got lucky and bought before they changed it.
