Came accross this 1/2" ratchet at a garage sale today. Not sure if I want to clean it up or not, so I can't find a maker on it...
On the "male stud" there is what looks like an "H inside a triangle" stamped opposite the BB side, maybe...?
It's marked Made in USA.
And it stamped with "R-718".
Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!
Mike

Herbrand used a Diamond-H logo, and is known for male drives, although I don't recognize that particular ratchet, which is early/pre-modern, or the model number.

Oooo, that's a good one, LG. NB did make an early ratchet with those 4 studs arranged like that, but I thought it was an open style. And it doesn't look like an NB model number either. But what do you make of the Diamond H logo?

Looking closer, it looks like that should be a 9/16" hex. Like I said above, I bet it has an adaptor in it, or has been modified somewhere along the line.

A lot of times I find those male drive ratchets dont have the oem square drive in them, could have come from another ratchet, ran into this on an old walden.

That's certainly true. Mike, is the drive plug removable on your ratchet? It appears to be a bi-directional model so a removable drive-plug would not be required. It is reversible, correct?
