Ebay rocks!

I've been looking for a Yamaha Electro Tester for years (then magically three show up for sale at the same time-ironic). This was produced by a company in Japan and packaged for Yamaha technicians and race teams in the 70's. There is also a Suzuki labeled version. It's basically a multimeter with some extra features to test coils and relays.

Also got some deals on Snappy 1/2 drive sockets and a ratchet.

Picked up this set. Forgot the part number. Got a great deal on it. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339546252.969444.jpg

That's a great set. I have one and use it all the time. Bit expensive. But worth it. Good call. And no I did not pay the ridiculous 750.00 list price.

Gearwrench 3/8" extension set, and an Extech electrical tester kit. Old school HKS Racing BOV lurking in the background. :)

Memories, I had that same BOV on my Talon! Awesome...

I'm psyched about it! Been trying to get a bunch of vintage HKS stuff on my daily driver, so that BOV is going to replace the Greddy RZ i have on there right now. Bonus points because Greddy actually copied the old HKS flange, so i don't have to swap any pipes!

I'm a sucker for vintage HKS stuff:

So, what's the story here? Made by who, and why?

Is that a photoshop edit, knipex with nws grips?

Haha! One of my rather ornery cats had gotten ahold of my Knipex pliers wrench and proceeded to chew the vinyl grips up a bit. I had those extra red/gray/black 3k handles from Ash and so I simply put them in place of the vinyl grips after removing the remaining portion.

A set of 3/8 sockets from AST hand tools - http://www.asthandtools.co.uk/

Fit and finish is very good.

Very impressive! That's nicer than some Snap-On or Proto sockets I have. It reminds me a little of old SK hardware. They had similar "lustrous" looking chrome, not sure what was different about their methods, but it does look different.

Thanks for posting. It's always great to see what gents have available outside of North America.

Got this at work today (it was being thrown out)...I am sure it will come in handy.
Metric tap and drill stand. I've seen others around the shop for standard sizes.

Some new stuff.

Mac screwdrivers, Mac and Proto ratchets, Mac belt tool, and Mac AntiVibe hammers. I also got a Bayco LED light, diagnostic dice (free,) and Gearwrench hose clamp pliers from the Snap On truck.

I think I might send it back:sad: It has some minor blems, and I think I want a Macsimizer. The Tech series, even with a top and two lockers, may not be large enough.

that box is gorgeous, but the drawer configuration is what turned me away from it.
Minus the wide top drawer its just like an economizer with 2 side boxes, which is fine, but i have a lot of large items 24",26" and 30 some inches long as well.

That's my thoughts also... It looked way bigger in the catalog, I think it's going back. I will get a white Macsimizer.

Yay Robertson: real Robertson, not "square drive."

For all the basing of Sears, I have to say I still think this handle design is one of the most comfortable. Any you can never mistake for any other brand.

Got this Cornwell gear less ratcheting screwdriver fro GJ member gtlaw. Great guy to deal with! Really nice driver. The fact that there's no ratcheting sound felt a little weird at first but makes it super smooth.

Bought this early 12x24 Atlas lathe the other day from a friend at work. $600 took it home. It runs well, but needs a little TLC. The ways look nice, backlash is OK, and the bearings are quiet and appear to run true.

The chuck has .007" runout, but I haven't cleaned them yet. If need be, it should be easily fixed by machining the backplate and indicating the chuck for now. The stepped drive pulley on the motor was not the original and had .030 or so of runout and causes the whole machine to vibrate a bit. I found an original on eBay, which should be here in a couple days. I also found some new felt wipers for the carriage ways for $5.
