congrat! i bought one two days ago - did you get the $359 coupon price?
the $349 coupons are pretty easy to find. i have the file saved, if anyone needs one, i think its good till august sometime.
and yeah they are fun to unload by yourself... i unboxed it in the bed of the truck and used a couple 2x8s as ramps and hoped for the best...all went well.
309lbs i think unboxed.

its probably been addressed in another thread i havent been following but i really like that new glossy finish compared to the orange peel powder coat they used prior. First time i've seen it.

Congrats on the purchase. I've seen those in the local HF stores and I'm shocked they can let them go for $350 given the good quality. But I've heard that buying spare or replacement parts/slides etc can be problematic. Does anyone have first-hand information about that?

the coupons show the older style with the matte powdercoat and old model number, but they are for the new gloss 44". the new ones capacity is 2633lbs, including a top box, and two side boxes.
the actual capacities
bottom roller = 818lbs
top box = 704lbs
each side locker = 557lbs
grand total = 2636lbs
they cant even add that up right... both advertised totals are wrong.![]()
does the new high gloss version come with drawer liners? The description on HFT's website doesn't list them, while the top box does. My local HFT has the 44" roller locked so I can't check and the people there are less than helpful.
i agree. i never even considered buying one, until i saw the new gloss. couldnt help myself after that![]()
Anyone think there's something a bit off about celebrating buying stuff made in China?
Anyone think its annoying to keep posting ^ this stuff in peoples threads. Its a sad day, a PRC made product has been purchased, Im sure somewhere off the coast a baby seal is clubbed everytime something PRC made is purchased. You dont like it, its well known on the forum, other than trying to up your post count, why do you care? Skip over the threads.

I've always wanted to club baby seals. Pretty dangerous job but I am sure it pays good. I have both HF 44" top and bottom and although I am not happy with the COO it is the best bang for the buck. Maybe if I could go seal hunting I could afford a nice truck box.

Thats my main point, people buy why they can afford. Stop chastising people for it. I have absolutely no real reason to buy a snap on tool box when I just tinker with my SS occasionally in the garage but I do because I can afford it. I also have a HF tool cart I use. Not everyone can afford Snap-On and theres nothing in the world wrong with that. Galaxy isnt a bad guy and very knowledgeable, I just see dumbasses like Mickey-O that contributes nothing to the forum outside of trying to say basically you hate America if you have EVER bought anything made in PRC...while he surely sits in his trailer park smoking cigs in a 4 day old shirt.

Anyone have a discount code that will get this below $359?
Thanks
Wes
They advertise them as 44" but they measure the handle in. In reality they are 42" wide you can find the rest of the measurements at harborfreight.com. Here is a pic of mine.
