I laughed and cried when I saw this on Fleabay...

Looks like a Reed???

If you do that to a vise... You definitely need something bigger and/or you are using the wrong tools!

Also if your vise reaches that stage, please just take it to the scrap yard and let it go...

$99 and shipping? Wow.

This is my favorite line from the description: "Has been welded at the jaw area and the repairs have held up,and it seem to have made it bigger and maybe better."

I bet the original designers are just kicking themselves for not integrating these enhancements into the original design.

I'd bet it works fine, but I sure wouldn't pay $100 for it.....

I like the way the seller put a tape measure in the one shot, but turned it so you can't see the numbers....

I wouldn't carry it to the car if he paid me $10! That is an insane price.

Yeah, I would not pay too much money for that but I still think it is kind of cool. Am I the only one that is impressed at what someone went to int order to keep the vise functional?

As Bill Stohlton used to say, "That's an UGLY baby!"

The screw and moveable jaw might still be worth $5 for parts.

The red vise shown in the Photo may be a Littletown which is made in PA . looks like a good weld job . its very hard to weld cast iron unless it has a lot of iron in it . The old Vise's made in the USA are of better quality and are heavier than the ones that are made in China .And I'd rather have an old vise that says made in the USA .

They probably spent $50 in electricity and welding rods to layer it up that much. LOL
