If you do that to a vise... You definitely need something bigger and/or you are using the wrong tools!

Also if your vise reaches that stage, please just take it to the scrap yard and let it go...

The red vise shown in the Photo may be a Littletown which is made in PA . looks like a good weld job . its very hard to weld cast iron unless it has a lot of iron in it . The old Vise's made in the USA are of better quality and are heavier than the ones that are made in China .And I'd rather have an old vise that says made in the USA .

The red welded Vise checked the old Reed's and yup its a Reed made in PA .
