She's aluminuminum alright, it has that old look to it but I guess its newer than the tag says.They probably thought it was a linesmans tool as it probably has a Klein symbol on it, it is a soap bucket that would have a brush with a rubber stopper around the handle, they are still used today in the telephone industry to soap splice cases for air leaks. Just noticed it says 40-50s, they are still manufactured today, I would say that is less than 20 years old as it looks like it is aluminum, the early ones were steel.
