I recently posted this but relized I was in the wrong forum topic. So im re posting in the "tool forum"
Hello I just bought a Snap on 1750 at a garage sale.It is from 1989 It is in great shape and has brand new jaws. I stripped all the old paint off of it till it was bare, then used 600 grit sandpaper and wet sanded it till it was clean. After drying it for a entire day I put on 2 coats of industrial grey primer, then 2 coats of high grade spray Automotive paint (snap on red) Im thinking about selling it and had a figure in my head, but wanted some advice from you guys.
1) the paint doesnt seem to be that durable and most likley flake off. could I get more money for it if I stripped it down again and had it powdercoated?
2) I could then put brand new snap on tool box plastic emblems on it
3)How much do you think its worth now, and how much if its powdercoated with the new emblems?
Any and all advice will be apreciated thanks in advance!!
