Hey guys wanted to check in. We had to run to Indiana last week to attend a funeral. We were out of Florida about 24 hours so we weren't there long. Its my home town and it was nice to be there. It was in the middle of the week so it stalled some progress. However, we are still getting things done. Pictures may be weak but weak pictures are better than no pictures
CamaroProject This baby has been coming along very nice. As you can see the dash has been painted and most of the components have been installed. Wiring done as far as the car starting etc. The door jams and inside the hood is painted and Bob has been doing some blocking for a few days. Believe it or not we are going to paint this car in the work room

This is going to happen next week and I will be sure to document it. I will take some exterior pictures of the car in the next few days just to let you see it.
66 Suburban The Burb is one of the reasons why we are painting the car in the garage. We know a guy with booth and he has had it over 2 weeks and it is still not done. It was completely sanded and we had it all taped off. I really dont like being at the mercy of someone else.

I feel like I will have it back within a week.
41 Willys The transmission has been painted and we are going to install it sometime over the weekend. There is some brake fluid damage on the frame (5 square inches) and paint chipping off on the underbody where the old transmission cooler was located so we are going to properly paint them while the car is on the lift. We have the entire exhaust system off so we can get to it.
64 Malibu I spent this last week installing transmission cooler and running the fuel lines. The factor 5/16 fuel line was just not enough and unfortunately my 502 does not have the provisions to bolt on a fuel pump.
I had a regulator for a fuel injection system that had a return line on it and I decided to use it. This meant running two fuel lines but I didnt think it would hurt. I ran 3/8 inch aluminum fuel line with steel braided up to the motor so it would look pretty. Here is the fuel pump with the pre and post filter along with the factory fuel sender with one line.
I found a real killer sending unit for my Chevelle with 1/2 inch supply and return lines built in it but for $150 I thought we would experiment. I dont know if this will work or not but we added an extra 3/8 stainless feed tube in the existing fuel sender. I am hoping this will be enough to supply the fuel pump.
The issue that has held me up the most on the Malibu has been the pulley system. Shiny motor needs some nice looking pulleys. These damn Chevelles have a big steering box so it gets in the way of the location where you would normally mount your power steering pump. Also, I am keeping this car and I want air conditioning at some point. I have looked at March, Billet Specialties Surpentine Systems and nothing flipped my switch until I found this....wow did I like it. A Cog drive system with a 2 inch drive belt

Unique and cool looking. It has a mid mount power steering pump and I can add on a lower mount A/C compressor later. The picture shows a A/C compressor mounted high..........I do not like accessories mount high on a motor!!!!!!! They are putting together a low mount one for me. I really love this setup.
