i bought this wall cabinet for a 130.00. Its in good shape and does have the key. the guy i bought it from sold it to me without the tool board as he says he can get 75.00 a piece for just the board. is that a fair price? I checked ebay and didn't really see many in the completed auctions. they are all from the same era as the cabinet so 60's-70's. the one i really want is for metric wrenches. are there any particular boards that are worth more than others?

thanks

Don't think they made a metric wrench board for that cabinet (that I know of, never seen one), I believe those cabinets were for puller and the likes and for that you can still buy the boards directly from Snap-On. You can always make your own.

Your location says midwest, did you buy the cabinet from the guy in Chicago that has a pile of them? I was thinking about picking one up but I don't want to take the trip unless I know they are in decent shape.

After looking around apparently they make all types of "tool control boards" that I was unaware of:

I did get it from him. According to him I got the best of the lot and the only one with a key. He was absolutely non-negotiable on the price, even when i tried to buy multiple cabinets. So i tried to call his bluff and just said I'd take one and he called my bluff. I might go back and get another one with the same logo as it matches my main box set up. So if you go to check them out please leave me one of those.

In the past 10 days there was one like posted but it was for all the Snap-on pullers and it had the out line boad in the back where the pullers hung. The party wanted $300 and it had a key and looked to be mint.
It was on Craigs list for CA, Indian or E bay. Can't remember but it was one of the 3
I have only seen the cabinets set up for the pullers. I have owned several through the years and still have one with all the pullers. NFS

Hi, Can you please tell me about your boards. Todd 262-490-4700

It's kind of bad form to sign up for a website, pull up a year old thread, and then in your first post ask someone to call you long distance...why not just ask your questions here?

So the mint, glass display one in my basement is only worth $300?
Or does this not include multiples of everything...?
