How is race deck or any of the tiles if you do any welding? I do a good bit of both mig and oxy/fuel so sparks and heat is a concern.
It will melt the tile...or leave little splatters inbedded into the tile, kind of looks cool. Racedeck has offered to replace my damaged tiles but its not worth it to me since it will happen again. I have had my tiles well over 10 years now and they still clean up as good as new, lots of welding/grinding, lots of clutches, motors/gearboxes pulled and put back into the car, lots of oil and other fluids spilled on them and the only lasting damage was from my welder and my welding cart with its cheap Harbor Freight rubber casters (the only thing that has stained my floor with small yellow marks that seem permanent).
When I moved I even took my Racedeck floor with me, try that with a epoxy.
The only real negative to a Racedeck floor was the expense after I got tired of laying down a welding blanket on the floor and got tired of burning it with MIG splatter because I didn't put the blanket down, so I fixed the problem by buying a TIG which does not splatter all over the place. Now I only have to lay down the blanket when using my plasma cutter.
A Racedeck is a little bit of work to keep nice but in my opinion it is absolutely worth it, after all I don't weld daily or pull engines daily but i am in the shop daily and I like the floor.
I am sure the other brands are just as good but not all of them have the customer service that Racedeck has.
