Garage Lighting - diagram insude

This is what I have planned for my garage lighting using these fixtures.

For the upper part of the mezzanine I'll just use a row of three as it is only for storage.

The walls and roof are being finished with the ag tuff pvc product, so they will be white. Am I on the right track?

I like it. I might consider moving the second row of lights more south. From your diagram it looks like they will be directly overhead of that vehicle bay. That may be what you want but I would consider it lighting up the side of the vehicle more like the second most south bay.

Good point on having them light up the sides of the vehicles. I drew this up in MSpaint, so the distances may not be to scale.

When I planned mine out, using fixtures identical to yours, I determined that 5.5~6' between rows was ideal coverage for these fixtures at 12' high. Given that, I placed the outer rows half that distance from side walls, and divided the difference to get 5'-5" row spacing across the center rows.

Then I started moving things to accommodate stuff like pallet racking, added an "L" shaped row in a corner for my workbench, etc.

It worked out very well, giving me full coverage and virtually no shadows.

I've got a very similar situation with the garage I'm building, but I have a 3/12 vaulted ceiling and it's only 1 bay with lots of room all around it. Do you pan on doing hanging lights or will they mount right to the ceiling?

Pretty similar to what I have done. I have 2 circuits. A perimeter and a center.

I was planning on mounting them to the ceiling and maybe make a rig so they mount level insteasd of on the angle. I wasn't sure yet.

Short of wiring everything up as a test...how did you determine that?

Debating layout myself now....for the sake of future-proofing, I want to plan on the Lithonia T5's...To be able to spread the fixtures & light more, I'd almost like the 4' version but 20.00 for double is hard to pass up.

BUT for the time being, finances being what they are...may just be T8's which I replace down the road.

Based on lumens per square foot, I determined how many tubes I needed, divided by tubes per fixture, and evenly distributed the fixtures.
