Well, I can't find it. I'm familiar with the lightning deals. It's just not one of "my" deals.

Wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

Still shows up $199 for me and I am Prime. If I cklick "View Lightning Deal" it just takes me to all the holiday sales and I cannot find it. I guess Amazon is trying to save me money.

It was at the bottom of that page with the holiday sales that clicking brought you to. It was almost like they were trying to make you work for it.

I passed on the deal; going to stick with trying to grow my 18v collection before picking up 12v stuff.

Received mine yesterday. I'm surprised at how much room there is in case with the drill. There's a spot for a third battery, a bunch of bits, and another tool.

Yeah if anyone sees this deal back up, be sure to post on this thread. I'd like to get a set of boxes too. Already have the drill.

If you just want the boxes, you might want to buy them separately. $100 or so for the 2 boxes minus $25 ($25 off $100 promo runs until Christmas) = $75. If you want the drill/driver kit too with the inserts, that's $20 more. Combo deal is best bang for buck, but not if you just want the boxes.

I just wanted the boxes and gave the drill to my BIL. $20 extra out of pocket for a drill/driver kit is good deal. But then I ordered additional boxes separately rather than spend $20 extra for a drill/driver kit I might be stuck with.

If you think he can't sell the extra drill/batteries for more than $20, I'll gladly take them off his hands for $30 shipped :)

So apparently the board won't let me post a link, but it should be back again in an hour at Amazon - 5:59am PST

Yes, the winner should have received them already. Someone from GJ won an additional prize package that I've been late to put together but am sending out this week.

Yup, deals' up again for another 50 minutes.

I have a feeling they'll do this a couple of times throughout the holiday season until they sell out.

Thanks. Just got it.

The boxes make this deal too good to pass up.
The drill will make a nice Christmas gift for a friend.

I just picked up another one. About 3 hrs left for the lightning deal. Follow Stuey's link to today's deals, then follow lightning deals. It's the only way I could find it at the $94 price.

Why are some deals one-time only and others become regular events?

They probably have hundreds more of these combos in stock. It started as a Black Friday thru Cyber Monday "doorbuster".

My guess is that putting it on sale a few times a week increases the sense of urgency and allows Amazon to promote the deal/product more than if it was fixed at $95 all the time.

The tools lightning deals show up in the tools section and main promo page, so putting it on sale multiple times gets the attention of more general interest customers that might have missed the deal previously.

There's reason behind everything Amazon does.

Ahhhhh!!!, i just want 1 of these sets but they only put then on sale when I'm no where near a computer. Ive been trying to get one since day one, and the fact that i have now missed this deal 6 times I'd driving me nuts.

I'm shooting them an email to see if they will let me buy it at the sale price, because like stuey said lightening deals I'd just a tactic used to generate sales.

...aaaand it's active again. I think the claim rate has been relatively low for these so that explains the continued time it keeps coming back.

Do you have a smartphone?

I don't think that's why the deal keeps popping up, otherwise the price would be constant all season. This combo is exclusive to Amazon, and they might have agreed to certain terms to secure better pricing.

I just meant I think it keeps coming back because they have a set number of sets to sell, and surprisingly they are not moving super-fast. Granted, it's hard to catch this deal since they usually don't show it in the Gold Box deal link they have on their site. Most times you have to look at the Home Improvement section to see the deal is active.

For instance, right now it says only 3% have been claimed.

But we also don't know how many sets they have available to sell. The combos are composed of 1 PS31 L-Boxx set and 1 L-Boxx-1A, which are both standard products packaged in a rather plain cardboard box. If Amazon sells out too quickly Bosch can always send them separate components to fulfill orders with.

In other words, Amazon could be setting the quantity limit to 10,000 units, in which case 3% is still 300 units sold.

Wondering if anyone that has bought this deal has one of the L-Boxx 1As (with dividers) they want to sell at a fair price.

Is this with the Bosch 25 off 100 or can you add some Bosch drill bits and use that as well?
