Hi
I am a brand new member tonight and all I can say is you have exhausted me. I have jumped in on this tread after you have posted a lot of pictures and you have me going still after midnight.
I have been involved in construction for over 30 years and I have to say you have rekindled my love for creativity and dreaming with your project.
So even if we hate you a little bit as some have said we love you just that much more.
I have been planning a garage project of my own for the past too many years on our country lot in the great white north and now I want to start tomorrow morning but it's snowing out.
Thx I think?
Anyway keep on trucking and tell Mary you love her very much because even if she only lets you in the house for beatings she has kept your love of your work and dreaming afire.
Cheers

I always like to shorten posts to keep my replies short but its your first post and your words are most excellent

Welcome to the forum and I know you will find many garages and ideas to inspire you. Because of this thread my garage has become even more apart of my life because I can share what is happening with our projects and really get inspiration from guys just like you to keep me going. I am in the garage 7 days a week. My wife smiled as I read your post. Hope you hang out more.
Looks awesome... love the torch red, wish the carpet was red too! Is the silver paint semi-gloss or satin?
The big delima was to go with black or red carpet. As a fellow Corvette enthusiast I also like to use the "torch red" description of the interior as it is such a beautiful and vibrant color. We used base coat clear coat on the black and the silver. I am happy to get you the products if you want. We used a satin clear coat on the black and with the silver we did a 70% statin 30% gloss mix of the clear so it was not completely flat. I am really happy with the sheen of both.
Love the Burb.
Absolutely hate the rubber band tyres.
More suited to a jappa toy car.
Cheers.
thank you. I dont know why but I have a love of low profile tires. I like the big wheels and skinny tires.
This garage introduced me to this site. Beautiful space and beautiful Burb! keep up the good work. You give me something to aspire to.
Awesome Joe and glad you became of part of GJ. There are lots of cool guys on this forum and so much to read. I normally spend at least an hour looking around this site at what other guys are doing. I have another truck project coming up hopefully soon so if you like trucks I have a 69 chevy short bed pickup to finish.
Wow, Mark, you made 2 more take the GJ plunge! Welcome to GJ, ppc123 and Joe13!
The interior of the Burb really looks great. Looks nice and clean. But just give that a little time. Glad you decided to keep it.
Quick question to get you thinking... the name on the grille... red, black, or leave chrome?
Hey buddy, yes the members continue to grow and grow on this site. I was speaking with the editor of Garage Style Magazine last week and he says he has enough articles about garage's for his magazine for 2 years so the phenomena of garage's and guys are getting lots of attention. We have a place to hang out............who needs dirty magazines now

......we can look at pictures of garages!!
You know I am glad we are keeping the burb too. Its not something I have to be nervous to drive and I would feel comfortable leaving it parked unattended in a parking lot.......as long as its in the back
We looked at the chevrolet embossing on the front grill and considered a color. At the time we decided it was something that could always be done. The one nice thing about having so many things to do is it keeps you from the little details and all the "what if I do this" syndrome. Its funny though as I know you are an architect and we are always thinking of the next level.....how to make it better. I am just thankful to have in running!!
