Do you carry inventory that's not on your truck? Reason I ask is my guy is always telling me he has boxes and stuff in stock, yet they are not on the truck. Every so often he's got the trailer hooked up to the back and you know it's loaded with boxes ;)

next you'll be asking his route where he stops and how long for so you can hold him up, then go have a shot of his wife and daughter!

Seriously too many questiosn for the man. I'm sure if you asked for a picture of a certain item he may do it but I sure as hell wouldn't be posting up whats in the van! Some muppet coming up sticking a berretta in my dish because they know whats in the van and where it goes because I posted some pics on a forum, I think not.

I doubt anyone would need pictures of the inside of a Snap-On truck to guess it's contents.

maybe over there but here the inventory is quite small as we have smack addicts who'll cut you up for 50p. My snap on guy needs days notice for most things, he has sockets and screwdrivers in the van but nothing really worth big bucks.

A picture of his inventory wouldn't show his route. We here in the US have a pretty good idea that a Snap-on truck has a lot of tools in it. You need to get a grip and quit thinking that everyone is out to get you.

Honestly, I have been in several tool trucks, and they were all pretty full. Pictures aren't going to do much to help anyone knock off his truck. I wouldn't go about publishing his route except maybe to let someone know where he'll be at a particular time via PM. However, if you want to knock off a tool truck, it is dead easy to follow one around to see where it goes. They are pretty obvious looking.

Where did you pull that one from?

Wel if you have pictures you can decided what to take and what not to if your doing him over quickly. Its like watching cribs, you know where the good stuff is!

That's pretty cool. I email my CrackOn guy all the time during the day (I have a desk job in front of a PC most of the time). If he's got what I need we hook up!

Last truck I was in the guy had a 3/4 ratchet long pipe hanging right behind where you head is.

I always thought he was kind of nutz.

So, what does it take to get on your good side and warranty some my tools? Send them to you? LOL! Fill us in, on the warranty process you guys have to go through, how you get your money/inventory back, why your fellow dealers are so reluctant to warranty stuff, do blue point tools have a lifetime warranty (for example the german made wire strippers?), are screwdriver handles under warranty (my dealer charges me for mine!), do you guys have problems with Snap-On Corporate rejecting your warranty returns (do you have to eat those?), is peeling chrome considered a warranty- able item and thanks for listening to all my lame questions! Also, how much does it cost to rebuild a FAR25A 1/4" Air ratchet and a 3/8" Air Ratchet - FAR72B; can you tell us what the rebuilding process is and pricing? I appreciate any attempts to answer my questions you willing to take the time to consider!

If you don't mind meeting me somewhere i'll exchange your stuff.

we get warranty net cost refunded to us on our tool bills, dealers hate warranty because it ties up inventory money.

if a tool is obvious abuse then they ship them back to us and we eat the cost.

pre-instinct handles are not warranty, instinct handles are warranty, alot of dealers do not know that.

flaking chrome is warranty as long as its not due to abuse (taking a hammer to it, or impact to a socket)

repairs pricing changes from time to time so for your best bet give the snapon repair center a call (888) 762 7972, and ask for the flat rate... add about 5-10$ to it for shipping costs.

blue point stuff is a hit or miss when it comes to warranty ... screwdriver bits do not have warranty but wrenches, picks, screwdrivers, ect ect do

if the strippers that you are talking about are the pwc22 ( think thats the part number) they do have warrant... any other questions?

There is allot of debate on this board about the relatively new Snap-On soft/hard Instinct screwdriver handles; are you aware of your customers not liking them as well and is Snap-On Corporate aware of this; if they are, are they going to do something about it?
Since, my dealer keeps rejecting my warranty requests and I have gotten sick of asking him; can I deal with warranty issue through the mail with Snap-on Corporate and bypass my dealer all together? It has gotten to the point, I don't even want to ask him and now that I know it is tying up his $$$ it is making me feel even worse! I wish there was a guilty free way of dealing with Snap-On warranty issues! I ask my dealer to warranty things if he can but I tell him I am not asking to "eat it" or lose money either! I try to approach him in a honest way and realize it is not exactly enjoyable or profitable for him to deal with warranty items either....
Oops, so the pre-instinct handles do not have a lifetime warranty?

I thought the trucks were bigger ...

I have a 16 footer, there are bigger trucks and they look bigger when you dont have a 6foot box in the isle.

the screwdriver handles are a hit or miss with how people like them and dont.. i've talked to a few reps at the tool shows and none have told me anything about whats to come...

the old handles are NOT warranty the instincts ARE.

if your dealer is not servicing you, go ahead and find another dealer...

dont feel bad for a dealer when you have a legit warranty claim, its out promise to you that we will take care of your needs.

Pedro, how long have you been in the Snapon tool biz, do you enjoy your job and how is it going, is it working out for you financially? Is the current economy impacting your job? Dead beats not paying their bills seems to be a primary problem for tool truck dealers, is this a problem for you as well?

about 2 years as a dealer, I love it, the people are great, the economy did affect me for a little bit, but it just meant that i have to be a little more aggressive and give better customer service. Mac and matco in my area are almost out of business because of my customer service :bounce:

Awesome! Glad things are going well; the dealers that did the best in my experience, had the best customer service and their trucks were bursting with tools; its hard to sell what you don't have! Good job Pedro!
