If you dont mind me asking what did they hit you for the wrenches?

And what are the green tools pictured?

I think like 350~ for both sets together.

The green tools are like seal picks, they slip around it and prevent damage to the machined surface. I'll be using them mainly on hydraulic cylinder packing, currently I use a straight and 90degree pic as well as a thin flat head screwdriver to get packing out. It usually ends with something stabbed into my hand haha

You're right about Snap-on's pliers! I got some on a deal a year or 2 ago, and I'm floored with how much force and grip they have.

I also bought the compound high leverage hl138acp pliers and they are absolutely stupid, in the best possible way.

I will have to check those out too! I was pulling the cotter pins that hold the linkages for the control handles, to the control valve with them. Normally I would have to straighten the other end, then pull the pin with a pair of dikes, typically ruining it. Grabbed theses with the slip joints, and they almost came running out, and best of all, no new cotter pins needed!

I was on the truck the other day, and I saw those and I didn't know what they were but thought they looked useful. I repack cylinders all the time so I think I'll get that set, looks like they could save time!

Congratulations to the new two most used ratchets in your tool box (Especially the 1/4" drive). There is nothing better than Snap-On swivel ratchets I don't understand how anyone gets by without them.

Hey there, do you work for linde? I work for a small independent lift truck company fork trucks are the dirtiest things to work on, I really struggle to look after my tools properly and keep them clean

yeah..., i'll agree. got to use the 1/4" already on a jeep blower motor & resistor. made life easy, esp. getting around the a/c accum.

I work for a linde dealer, but we are also a Clark and Komat'su dealer. I think fOrk lifts are dirty by application. My main linde place is a brick yard.... They are filthy! The other I service at is a foundry, it's a whole different breed of dirty and nasty. I've nearly given up on clean tools, I wipe off the crud, and clean up ratchet heads, but that's about all the effort I can give it knowing tomOrrow will bring possibly worse lol

The 3/8 m12 are out already. I was thinking about buying that as well.

Ahhh...
it took a little while, but my buddy got 'em sent. Missing a 22 and 23mm, and he'll be sending one of those shortly (not sure which one, he doesn't use much metric, so I got them at a nice price). He tossed in standards 3/4"-1" so I have a pretty well rounded set of standard now too.

How'd I do on this estwing? I went to ace hardware today to buy some plumbing stuff. While I was there I thought I'd look at their tools. I've been meaning to buy a larger hammer. My 20oz estwing isn't quite heavy enough to drive nails thru 22 gauge sheet metal.

I found this 28oz. It had obviously been used and returned. I asked the manager if she'd give me a discount on it. She said 25%. I took it. I paid $27 after tax. I figure they run around $33 new.

if I am going to beat the hell out of something I prefer an estwing, they just don't break. The only way they are damaged is the handle is melted or something. I always used ESTwing at my last job and there is something to be said about a good hammer that wont let you down.

Took my dewalt drill from an earlier post back today because the run out was terrible, actually unacceptable for any new drill, the guy in the shop swapped it for a new one but we tried it at the counter and the new one was exactly the same :0, I immediately told him that I didn't want it, he agreed and give me a refund. I then saw a decent deal on this

I usually steer clear of brands I'm not familiar with but it was £30 cheaper on sale and came with two lithium batteries compared to the one with the dewalt hopefully I'm onto a winner !
