I'm looking forward to seeing the end result of this build, especially now with the lift!
Thanks cfaas, no problem, there is a restroom in the far corner that can be accessed from both outside and from within the shop. The reason for the 2 exterior doors is so that I can leave the restroom open for an outside party or whatever. The other is the shop access. We have not used it much, it was something that I thought of when I drew the plans...
The bi-fold doors are covering equipment / tools / welder / ladders, etc. The shop was built to be a multipurpose room. Primarily my shop, and secondarily a party room.

Very very nice job. I'm just a little confused by your layout. i noticed in one pic sometimes back 2 exterior doors right next to each other? My guess would be 1 is access to the shop the other to a closet? Maybe air compressor storage? Secondly all of the bi-fold doors? What is the reasoning for them? Sorry not trying to be nosey just intrigued.
Nice to see this one again!-one of the first I subscribed to & a couple of ideas 'stolen' from!![]()

P Dude - Nice build!
You've given me the idea to put my compressed air behind the drywall in my build. Did you provide a provision for draining condensation in your air lines? I am struggling with how to do this behind the walls.
Thanks![]()
Here's a picture of my shovel and bucket team.
Wow glad you are recovering. Get well soon.
Awesome Build! Cant wait to see the lift in, but get well first![]()
Some how I miss these threads and I wonder how I do. Page one down and about 9 more to go.
EDIT: I wanted to make sure I didn't lose this thread again, my reasoning for orginally making this post.
Such a nice, clean and well-planned out shop. Great lighting, cabinets and skylights to make it look even bigger.
I believe the only reason I would ever go back to California would to visit some of the garages here like yours and Don's. That visit would have to correspond with Ford's at Knott's Berry farm.
Thanks Nuttsgt, yah I'm with you, I'm just holding out until retirement and then who knows, this state *****! Weather is good, taxes and illegals ****. Of course that is everywhere there is agriculture. Need them illegal pickers. Actually the pickers are the good one, it is the ones that are on the system and keep adding dependants that are the problem.
Thanks C47, I'm all better with my healt issue, just kinda scared me. One visit to the ER and a Day/Nights stay was over $16K.
The cabinet are mostly installed. They came up missing two doors. Material is on order and they should have them made and installed in a week or two. No hurry, lots of things to do, busy-busy-busy...
Ok, before I get asked why the upper cabinets are so shallow, here goes. I seem to forget the items that are elbow deep in a cabinet and with this design, I can't go elbow deep in the upper cabinets. It also allows over head lighting to cast light in front of someone standing/sitting at the bench and have enough room above the bench top to work.
