More at here.

No, my C301H is neither committing suicide, nor being lynched by either good or bad folks. Rather, the C301H is making a soft landing from the bed of my F150 to its new home on the garage floor.

Gedore Kit came in today as I was on my way out the door to work. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. Didn't get much time to look it over. I'll follow up with how I like it once I have a chance to look it over and use it a bit.

Simz144,

It is 18.5" long. Part# is 12-944 it just looks funny in the picture.

Have only been using them for a week, but yes very happy with all of the ratchets. Fit/finish and build quality are 100%. Haven't really found a need for the locking head feature but they do lockup nice a tight if needed.

Not new... but new to me. Kid said it was 3 months old, guess I believe him cause there is not a scratch on it other than some smudge marks on bumpers. It looks like he only had tools in top and top 3 drawers.. anyway paid $550... I came to realize that I could not afford a "BIG" box so this will do till I can... Had bonus in one of the drawers... DRG

This arrived in the mail today.

A couple of times lately I've needed one of these so I finally bit the bullet and bought one off Trade Me (NZ version of Ebay). Made in Japan and appears to be very well made.

4-piece funnel set. Couldn't pass it up for 79 cents.
3/4" drive ratchet. My usual one has a broken selector. Changing directions with pliers was getting old. And only $14.99
1/2" drive extendable ratchet. Didn't have one. Heard great reviews on this one, and for $15...couldn't pass it up either.
16oz Craftsman ball pien
1/4" Craftsman breaker bar. A warranty trade. This one is china :( But it will just sit in a drawer anways.

Picked up this set of metric Craftsman drivers at the pawn shop today. I was going to buy them at the store with some store credit I have but for $10 out the door I thought these soft grip handles were much cooler than what is available today and they look nearly new.

Just got this in from back home in Illinois.

It was my Grandpa's and has probably been sitting in the back of his garage since he died in 84'. It's an 80 Gallon with the Kellogg 321 compressor pump and 3 horse 240 motor.

It also had a spare pump, and enough NOS internal components sitting in a milk crate to rebuild both pumps 3 or 4 times. (We're talking reeds, springs, valve seats, piston rings, crank seals gaskets.......You name it)

I was about to go buy a new Quincy and remembered this ol' girl sitting at my Uncle's house and called him up. Needless to say, it's in Colorado with me now and about to be compressing air after I Hydrostatic test the tank, and get it wired.

It'll be a welcome addition to replace my cheap 29 Gallon Craftsman.

I have that same set and they are identical to Kleins but I like the color of the craftsmans better I couldn't find a nos craftsman set when I bought an sae for the basement.

I have a different set (I didn't know they made more than one...or maybe mine are older/newer?). Mine came with the box when I bought it...it is the SAE and Metric set in a soft case. You can also see my Kleins next to them.

My recent craftsman purchase...

I should add that except for the maxx access set (China), everything was made in the USA.

May I ask, how did you manage to break a 1/4" breaker bar?

was shopping for a cart for the garage.

Cart? Home garage? Wow, I hope it can hold up to that abuse :lol_hitti

Are you going to try and find a matching top for it later on?

I think most folks home carts would be destroyed by getting hit by a car. Pretty sure yours would destroy the car and just shake it off :bounce:

X2, both!

For my motorcycle tool kit:

Knipex water pump pliers, 7". Better than the BMW (Heyco?). Light and strong. On sale. Not the Cobras which are pricey.
The LAST 1/4" to 3/8 Craftsman USA adapter. It was behind about 10 China units. (I carry a 1/4" ratchet and don't carry 3/8" sockets in my tool kit, but it could be handy).
Craftsman USA 14mm socket (1/4" drive).
Craftsman magnetic pickup. (VERY useful).

I noticed that the prices on the old labels had increased with new labels over it, but with points from Sears, I ended up getting the old price anyway.

My Sears still had several Craftsman USA 1/4" flex drivers ("breaker bar"), and quite a few Craftsman USA wrench and socket sets, but almost all the ratchets have gone to China or Taiwan, except for the Premium ratchet, at $50+.

Scored this on craigslist for 50 bucks this week. It's a craftsman 10 inch contractor series. Think I did pretty good. All I need is a miter gauge, anybody have an extra?
