I would guess $360 never changed hands.

Here is one on ebay. I would certainly never exchange it for any other type of Craftsman ratchet.I have one I just stripped the gears on last week and need to get a replacement.
I was hoping to swap gears out of a Regular 1/2" craftsman but no luck.
I got it from my grandfather and I don't want to exchange it for a china one, if they still make them???

Yea if you really want one you can normally wait a little while and find a KD, Allen, Easco for around $20-$30 that will be the same exact ratchet with a slightly different handle. There are so many fine tooth flex head ratchets out there that it is stupid to pay that much.
My guess is that it will probably never see a socket, IF the money actually changed hands. It looks to me that there was either a shill involved, or someone was getting tired of getting outbid and was determined to make whomever won really pay.
They were making these ratchets up into the mid 2000's.I think the handle is a swap. Even 1990's Craftsman stuff doesn't have the eye protection warning. RHFT was way before that!
