Below is the response I received on where to order some of the Craftsman Industrial wrenches to complete my sets...

"All of the items you listed below are only available in the industrial channel which means through my contracted distributors. Grainger, Ace, Applied Industrial Technologies all have the capacity to purchase these items for resale. Applied has several locations in Virginia. You can look at their catalog and website at applied.com."

I'll be contacting Applied today about ordering some items and will let you guys know how it goes.

Let me see if I can find an Applied catalog here at the office. I think I have one at home, and I seem to recall there being Craftsman Industrial tools in the latest one.

I cannot get on to the Craftsman Industrial catalogue website from the link in the first post. It freezes up on my Mac, PC and smart phone. I did find the the Industrial catalogue here.

I am happy to see Craftsman making quality tools in the US, but I wish they would include prices in their catalogue.

I think it would be a great idea to have a Craftsman USA day. If enough of a buy happened on one day where everyone put in the order comments line "Buy USA" or soomething like that someone would notice. The only thing that will make a retailer take notice is our buying dollars.

Turns out Sears is pretty smart I guess. They had a choice- compete for homeowner sales, compete for sales to guys like us. They chose both.

I'm with you, give me a catalog I can hold in my hands.

download that big pdf, put it on a cd or flash driver, take it to officemax / staples / kinko's / whereever and have it printed. B+W, probably, as color would be ridiculously expensive.

It was a little wonky on my iPad, but worked fine on my 'puter at work.

The items in this catalog reminds me of what I would see in Sears stores some 5-7 years ago. the stores were empty already, but the shelves were filled with nice made in usa ratchets, wrenches, and screwdrivers, including their professional line.

The conclusion I make from this is that the old Danaher forges are still up and running, and they're here in the USA. I was not sure who to blame for the outsourcing - Sears or Danaher, but it is now clear it was Sears, since when needed, they managed to source all their nice tools back from the USA again, just under a different brand. The only thing that will be different now is the pricing, as I am sure the prices will be 2x-3x the chicom analogues.

I was under impression that Craftsman Industrial was a rather new brand. Also, a lot of Craftsman Professional items that are no longer on the website are in that catalog.

I was under the impression that the industrial were just the full polished wrenches. I just spent weeks on eBay getting a made in USA thin profile 1/4" drive ratchet. If I knew about the industrial I never would have waited. I'm seriously tempted to buy one of every ratchet they sell so I never have to worry about having an import Craftsman.

Industrial is actually a reboot. They had a line years ago and discontinued it.

Danaher is gone, has been for the last few years. Apex is doing the supplying. I'm sure many of the tools are made under the same roof as Armstrong. Its kind of ironic actually considering both are going after the same clients.

Craftsman wants to keep Military contracts and they require USA made, and they dont warranty much

Did they have any Mil contracts? Got a couple friends in that side of things and from what I've heard them say, Uncle Sam is a SnapOn guy...

CMan industrial isn't anything new, years ago Fastenal used to carry the CMan industrial line, I had a "Bathroom Compatible" catalog at one point. The PaperMill where my dad worked switched to CMan industrial after some problems with Snappy. But between then and now, the mill went back to Snappy and Fastenal got in bed with Gearwrench.

Sears needs to decide what it wants to do. I was under the impression they had dropped the industrial sales channels. While this isn't new, the re-entry to the marked is well, interesting.

Catalog says they are looking for Distributers....... Wonder if they plan to sell a ""cheapo"" import line at Sears, K-Mart , Ace and vendors; and retain the "Better" line for online sales, special order, and Distributers??

That's what I'm afraid of. That's fine to charge a little more, that's reasonable if the tools are better quality. 2x to 3x is a little excessive. It would be reasonable (my opinion) if the china craftsman wasn't overpriced (presently prices are the same as the old stock USA stuff...)

Has anyone found a distributor that allows pricing and ordering online? There are Craftsman Industrial part numbers that would let me fill in gaps in my Craftsman Pro metric wrenches, if I could price and order them online.

I just ordered a few from the industrial line at work a few days ago from grainger. They shipped direct from the manufacturer

Grainger is out of most sizes, and clearancing the rest.

I just want to check prices on a few wrench sizes, and most to the distributors pages say "call to order". I hate bothering someone on the phone unless I'm certain I'm going to order.

Original Distributor link is dead. I found it though from some digging.
Here's a screenshot of the list:

There is no Craftsman Industrial anymore ... that list is very obsolete.
I know CI is obsolete. I just like being able to see who used to be the Distributors for discontinued things and such. Some others might also be curious and enjoy a look.
