It took that long to have the space cleared out to do it. I built the building to house all the machines and equipment that was in my still functional shop in toledo, almost 300 mi south. The winters being what they are up here,I had to store all my building supplys inside the building while I was working on it. Then there was the issues that resulted when we would make a trip south, dismantle and truck a trailer load up and have to store that inside untill I could install it,the logistics were a nightmare. Then I had 2 heart attacks,3 stints, and a serious bout with 90% renal failure that then resulted in a 3 week case of c-dif.That slowed me down a bit to. One bay had to be left open at all times for emergency repair or maintanence of my snow removal equipment, plow truck and the new holland with the 7' blower on it. We ended up with a couple more mules than we had planned for,so the mule barn was full, meaning that from nov to april, the chicken truck had to be in the shop too.All the while, everytime we went to toledo,a trailer load would come back with us.So thats why it sat, buried in a corner for two years!
edit) I knew exactly where it and the 2 bridge cranes (which are not both here yet) was going. The concrete was feathered out to 12" thick and a rebar grid put in place. The small bridge crane is here, but its outside. It has to have the colums extened 18" to work with the higher cieling I have in this building. Thats the next thing after the lift is done. Then sometime in there I have to finish up the electrolytic deruster that I started!
