found this old pitcher , it is galv. 9 in. across the bottom , 12 in tall . anyone know what it was used for ? ill clean it up and paint it, use it for barn art.( I thought I knew everything , but I don't know this ) thanks in advance for any info.

Didn't you get the Memo? It is teenagers that know everything not us older guys.
No idea what it was originally for but it is pretty cool looking.

I have seen a lot of old metal pitchers, but they have all been either galvanized or porcelain coated.
That's an interesting one.
Does that lip inside the top look like it was meant to put a lid on it?

That is why I wrote everything down when I was a teenager. The only problem is I can't remember where I wrote it down:)

steevo, this is galvanized , you can see it on the bottom. it dosent look like it had a lid , just a pour spout. I thought it was pretty cool old piece , may just leave it like it is.
