anyone know what this is ?

found this old pitcher , it is galv. 9 in. across the bottom , 12 in tall . anyone know what it was used for ? ill clean it up and paint it, use it for barn art.( I thought I knew everything , but I don't know this ) thanks in advance for any info.

Didn't you get the Memo? It is teenagers that know everything not us older guys.

I have seen a lot of old metal pitchers, but they have all been either galvanized or porcelain coated.
That's an interesting one.
Does that lip inside the top look like it was meant to put a lid on it?

My aunt and uncle had one similar to that that they used with their bulk oil drum.

That is why I wrote everything down when I was a teenager. The only problem is I can't remember where I wrote it down

It's probably worth more to a collector with the original patina.

steevo, this is galvanized , you can see it on the bottom. it dosent look like it had a lid , just a pour spout. I thought it was pretty cool old piece , may just leave it like it is.
