Just got mine via UPS. It's a complete set in a decent blue pouch. Not the highest quality but for 12 dollars it'll make a great beater set. No bent punches/well packaged. No COO on any of the punches/box/pouch to my eyes.....Maybe someone else can find one.

Are they stamped USA? Did the pouch say USA?

These look totally different then the one's I rec'd. (ie black box, black pouch, and USA stamped everywhere).

Just recheck the cardboard box, the pouch and the individual punches... no COO hallmarks anywhere. Guess the multi-month wait was to get the slow junk (all pun intended) across the Pacific.

Two P/N on the carboard box are "599-767" and "B0053187R0" (Amazon?)

Let the COO diatribes begin... :willy_nil

Now isn't that something... Clearly amazon had some NOS. In the meantime, B&S fired all their employees, closed up shop, sold their forges. Got a huge order from amazon, which they easily sourced with Indian made pieces.

The most amazing part is how they charge $57 for the set now!

Do you suppose that part of the delay might have been the Injuns waiting on the Swedes or Germans to ship them the steel?

I couldn't even hold a straight face typing this. You know, I couldn't make up stuff as good as this if my life depended on it.

I'd debating on what to do with the punches. I've already returned the single punch that they shipped me some time back. I may use them as loaners....

"Hey, you broke my B&S 1/4" punch. You owe me another one....." :lol_hitti

I would think the delay was needed to put the B&S moniker/model number on the pouch and have it sent from the factory in India like that. Somebody's gone to a lot of trouble to come up with punches. No wonder the shafts don't have any identifiable marks. I'm surprised B&S (or what's left of it) would take a huge hit from it's primary customers rather than cancel all the orders.

This is worth about $6 of entertainment......That brings my cost to $6 for no-name punches. Not bad......I'd be upset though if I were the one paying the currently advertised $50+ on Amazon and ended up with these fine precision instruments. Of course, by the time these end up getting flamed on Amazon, they wont be able to sell them for 99 cents........

mine should be here in a little bit I am sure I will get the same thing I will just keep them and leave a one star review like most of you guys will do. I am glad I went ahead and bought a starret set which is made in USA.

Just received mine and they certainly do not look like the USA made Brown& Sharpe as pictured on Amazon.good news is i used one of the Amazon offers to knock $10 off the purchase price if I applied for thier store card so I guess I got exactly what is worth $1.59.

This style of punch has been copied and made in India for quite some time. I bought this exact set from Harbor Freight like 8-10 years ago and it was marked made in India.

Yes, there is entertainment value. And, yes this set is probably worth $11.

None of that changes the fact that Amazon did not ship what was advertised. It's inconceivable to me that Amazon or B&S got non-B&S punches and marked the pouch and box to appear to be what was advertised. But, that is exactly what appears has happened. Hard to believe that Amazon got enough orders to justify all the work it would have taken. It really is unbelievable to me.

I have alot of B&S tools, both older and newer. I will call B&S and try hard to find out what happened and report back here.

In the meantime, we ALL need to write a review on Amazon that states what we believe to have happened. For me, the price of 11 dollars is not the point; the point is that Amazon or B&S pulled a very sleazy move that is probably also illegal.
