I spot a few tool bits, pieces of gauging, maybe some fixturing/clamps...
That is a really neat looking pipe wrench and a nice find. In my attached picture, is the spot circled in red a hole that goes all the wall through the handle casting? If so, is there anything mechanical in there?
If you look at my green lines it also appears that you have a pretty bent hook jaw. That is interesting, because most pipe wrenches I have seen will bend or snap the handle long before the hook jaw will suffer any damage or fatigue. Maybe they didn't harden the hook jaws back then like they do now.
And finally Estate Sale #4 which had a nice treasure chest:
The box is a Kennedy,the sockets,extension,swivel and RFHT ratchet are =v= Craftsman with the exception of the 3 largest ones.Channellock needlenose,Cman DOE wrenches,SK socket tin,allenwrenches,wire strippers,picklefork,Starrett 4r 12" rule.
All for $40
Thanks,
Andy
An estate sale that was also a target of opportunity, had TONS o'rust, but this was this only save; $7 for a Stanley #62 Low angle plane. I still need to clean the gunge off the inside, but it should clean up beautifully!

Found this at a flea market.
please back away from the object and take another pic, can't tell wtf you have![]()
Thanks!
Where did you find the Klein pliers date code information? I tried looking for an online resource and failed...
Possibly![]()
Estate Sale goodness:
26" wide two box Sears tool box. 30" bottom, 18" top. Drawers appear to be friction instead of roller, but they are silky smooth and the metal framework is very rigid and not flimsy. No badging except SEARS on the left top corner, not even a Craftsman logo. I want to say 90's? Any clues on this set? Nicely kept, glossy and ready to go. Unusual with no silver handles- no indications there ever were any on this one.

Those are destaco clamps for welding or gluing for that matter just a **** variation of a c clamp they are also called toggle clamps ,the plier action is a quick release

And my bet is that they came from Boeing Surplus. I got a number of them from that source decades ago.![]()

I made a pawn shop haul yesterday.

Vanadium Tool Company
Vim Tool Company

"Kite River" does not seem to be anywhere known in the US per Google maps?
Pics? Is this really old or 50's-70's?
Estate Sale goodness:
.
I tried Google maps for KITE RiVER too with no results. The lettering is probably faded/worn so I tried KIT RIVER and some other variations with no results. WEIRD
OK I see the other pics you added! I'm guessing maybe 40's -50's based on grip style and the ferrule? I suspect that may have been made by a major and re-branded for "someone"
I see the cart you have there, I used a similar one for years to move copiers. Handy as hell.
Yep, that makes sense.
so what we have is:
V.T. CO. TOOL
KIT DRIVER
MADE IN U.S.A.
Which probably translates to:
V.T. CO.
TOOL KIT DRIVER
MADE IN U.S.A.

really good condition, but missing the screw.
, but solid.

Driving home this evening I saw, what I thought was a craftsman carry box sitting on top of a recycle bin/trash can. Performed the fastest parallel parking job of my life and ran back to grab not one but two boxes from the trash.
Highlights
-Husky CM-45 ratchet, after take apart, clean and lube it is a super smooth little 1/4" ratchet. My only other 1/4 ratchet is a cman RP, sadly it is no where near as smooth as the Husky.
-Indestro 1/4" breaker bar. Nice, but I like my proto breaker bar (from a member here) better. The indestro is a goofy shape.
-Craftsman T&G pliers
-Craftsman V DOE wrench
-USA visegrips without an adjusting screwreally good condition, but missing the screw.
-Then there were a few misc japan and taiwan tools, bolts, mic.
-Craftsman crown top box, needs some straightening and missing the tray, but solid.
-Misc black carry box. Great condition, only marking is "Made in USA"
For $0 invested I am very happy, saved from the recycle and now in a loving home.![]()
!! That's just wrong in so many waysOld fashioned hair curling iron. (Not a tool...)![]()
