.....I don't know much about US market Toyota's so I only found 2 V6's. If it's a 5VZ-FE (3.4 litre) you need AVSA-073 (72.5 mm, 14 sides), for the 3GR-FE (4.0 litre) you want AVSA-064 (64 mm, 14 sides).

My 2008 Toyota Tacoma has a 6 cyl. 4.0L....1GR-FE....engine. I only use a Mobil 1 M1-102 oil filter, the spec's for this particular oil filter are as follows:

Outside Diameter (in.).........3.62 ~ (91.948 mm)

Height (in.)........................3.15 ~ (80.009 mm)

*Source of reference information: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-5yc1s?itemIdentifier=106092

EDIT** Found this info: http://en.ktc.co.jp/products/catalog/pdf_cat/Engine.pdf

It appears, according to the chart given the first number and letter of the engine under Toyota, as though the KTC oil wrench filter tool would be part number: AVSA-073 ?

1G, 1JZ, 1MZ, 2MZ, 1N(-099 may be used),
1RZ (-095 may be used), 3RZ, 2JZ , 2TZ, 2UZ, AVSA-073
3VZ, 4VZ, 5VZ, 5V, 7M

If that one is what you mean then that is from a different engine series.
However, if your standard filter was a 90915-20004 - which seems to be the standard fitment for 1GR-series engines - then the AVSA-073 is the right wrench for it.

Are you sure about the size of that Mobil filter? From the pictures it doesn't look like it's that wide.

Yes that 1G engine series is from the reference chart from the KTC website is the one I was referring to. In accordance to their chart they reference KTC oil filter wrench AVSA-073

As for the Mobil 1 oil filter size in specifications, width & height, I am referencing the specs given from the AutoZone website. Yes when actually seeing it, it does appear to be small but it works very well and it is what the Mobil 1 website recommends to use for that particular Toyota year, make, model and engine size?

Thanks Van Steel for your help!

By the way what website did you purchase your KTC oil filter wrench tool from? How much including shipping?

Here is someone using it to give you an idea how tiny this torch really is.

All tucked away. Wish I had the FLF80 when I was pulling the supercharger off my truck.

is that sku# 80565? amazon shows a 6 pt kd by gearwrench set for $30  but the gearwrench site shows a 12pt set under that #

.....unless i read the part # wrong

No, the GW Site is wrong. If you go into the specs it details that they are 6pt.

To my knowledge GW doesn't make a 12pt. flex socket. Only 6pts

Today I bought a green stripper, 3/8 6 point deep, semi deep, and shallow socket set, a 3/8" extension set, and blue point magnetic socket holders. I'm a happy camper.

The Klein bottle opener is top notch, I have one myself :p
Nice pick set, you're missing some drivers though!

Gonna try the opener out this evening :thumbup
The mini stuff was all bought separately. The pink torx are to finish off a set of 12 and the red screwdrivers came in a set with the red pistol grip, little sockets, pliers, adjustable and utility knofe. They were in a tray that's being shipped separately. Can't remember where the mini box came from. Probably in with some lot of stuff or another.
