There is always something interesting to see or purchase. I picked up a couple of 5" C clamps. Here are a couple of items he had that stood out. An older Craftsman ratchet and Black and Decker drill. Looked neat; very heavy for "light duty".
Ever get a seed planted in your head that you just can't shake?
Roughly 60 - 70 lbs (heavier than I first thought) with no makers marks. It is missing the swivel base, but still followed me home.
What is the place in Plaistow, Jake?
I haven't been there in years. It's in Woostah.

125 TOOLS
111 Plaistow Rd (rt125)
Plaistow, NH
The prices are higher than either of the Tool Shed's (much higher), but the inventory is huge in comparison. They're open more hours.
Another place is in Derry, NH, off the rt28 bypass.
Tool Liquidation Ctr
20 S Main St
Derry, NH
I've only gone there twice. They have a big selection of newer chinese stuff as well as used tools. In the back they have a large inventory of bigger machines. The prices are high. IMHO (I'm cheap)
I was hoping to make time this summer to go up to the Liberty Tool Barn in Maine, but it didn't happen.I haven't been there in years.
Thanks! I will be driving up to Manchester this Sunday. I may have to take a detour or two![]()

I just found out that one of my go-to places for used tools will be closing in two weeks.
125 Tools in Plaistow NH will be closing it's doors soon. Anything left unsold will be going to the auction house. The owner decided that with fewer tool users out there, competition from the box stores with cheap chinese tools, and a new TSC store that opened down the street last year, he just wasn't doing enough sales to stay open.
His prices were a bit high for used retail, but he always had a wide variety of used name brands on hand, and avoided buying cheap imports when he could.
I've bought a lot of good tools from him over the last 25yrs. I don't get over there very often anymore, but I still like to wander the isles when I can.
He'll be missed. [sniff]
Has anyone been to Lynnway Tools in Lynn ?
I saw them listed in a search, but I stay away from cities if I can help it. Especially cities that start with an "L". Bad JuJu.
Ok, I lied. I went to check out Lynnway Tools today.
The shop is small (smaller than the Tool Shed in Watham), and shares space with the die-cast cars he sells. If you're looking for Snap-On, Mac, Cornwell, etc., He's got them set up in the display cases. If your looking for old rusty vintage tools, no such luck. I did see a Proto ratchet in the mix as well. He does a nice job of cleaning his tools before he puts them out, but most of his stock isn't too old - late 80's and up (mostly). Unlike the Tool Shed locations, he doesn't load up on imported junk, so you can expect to find quality tools. As far as prices go, I'm not familiar with truck brand prices, but they seemed to be in the affordable range. He did fine pricing the Craftsman tools I picked up, so I felt good handing over my money.
The owner's name is Dave. We spent a little time rubber-jawing about tools and stuff, he seems like a nice guy who wants to get the right tools into the right hands. Since most of his regular customers prefer truck brands, that's what he concentrates on. He also had some power and air tools in stock as well. Some in their original boxes. He's still working out how to best display the stock he has, so there are a few buckets to paw through. But that's ok, that's the fun part.
Lynn can be difficult for me to get in and out of, so I may not drop in very often. But I may check it out every now and then, if I can make the time.
