Nice. :)

What's the inside look like, and how did you go about sealing up the taps, etc? I'm thinking something like that is in my future. Been dying for a reason to get rid of the side by side anyhow. Hate the thing.

Hey lehr....there's a house next to me for sale if you want to move to OK and share your beer. On the other side is a DirecTV guy that has all the channels, including all the sports. It'd be a big man cave block. :lol_hitti

Thanks for sharing the pics. Any tips/suggestions for the guys at home wanting to buy the baby kegs and use "store beer". Love the idea of having a few flavors on tap, as my tastes change as I mature. Recently I started my Guiness kick. Used to never touch it before. But I like some lights and mediums as well. Also, my wife has celiac so she can't have gluten, which means VERY limited beer selection. I'd like to put a tap in for a gluten free beer for her so she could enjoy as well.

Very nice setup. Mrs. Hencini got me kegging equipment for my birthday this year. Still need a fridge to keep them in, but I'm stoked to have draft beer in the house. Just started a batch of PNW IPA last night, so I guess I gotta find the fridge soon... :)

I'll go along with that hippie !

Nolimits I'm on my way, they are called cornie kegs, they were used in the soad pop industry. Google it, you will find a ton of sites that sell them.
There are ball lock and pin lock...ball lock are what most people use.

I just got started doing this, so mine is basic....Hopefully some day I'll up the ante to a "real" kit. :willy_nil
Although I must say, the brews taste pretty good from this.

Welcome to the club.

If you can make Mr. Beer, you can do extract brewing. $100-150 of equipment will get you started. Then it's two nights, three hours each, and after a month, you've got some great beer...

I've recently begun using yeast starters with all my brews and that adds a couple more $$ and an extra hour to the process the night before you brew, but it's so worth it.

Also, check out Northern Brewer if you haven't already. They have a great selection, good prices and excellent customer service. I'm fermenting their Chinook IPA right now and am very excited about the way it's smelling. :)

Good luck!!

Thanks. Yeah, I have a feeling when I get some actual space, it's going to be "look out-here comes the brewing equipment". Instead of spending cash on tools/car parts I'll be spending it on brewing... LOL

You really don't need much space at all. If you have space to store two five gallon buckets and a couple cases of bottles, you have room for the equipment. Only thing remotely tricky is finding a place you can keep your fermenter at around 65° for a few weeks.

And as far as the money, it's no more expensive than buying decent beer at the store-- less than a buck a bottle.
