Wonder if they will do anything with the search functionality? Wonder if they know it is still daylight time?

ABOUT TIME....

Talk about "Out of Date"....and hard to find some items. The pictures are (were!), TINY. I hope that is one thing they remedy.

I've never had a problem with the SO site.

Sure, there are super secret items that may be hard to find and replacement parts for LONG out of stock tools that require some sleuthing, but it's no different than a 2000 page Grainger catalog and it's digital twin.

A list is a list, it's up to you to sleuth out what items are when buying.
But folks who are in purchasing and have big boy accounts already know the secrets.

That why you have a driver.

Oh, wait. :)

This was probably the best website of the truck brands. Unlike cornwell there's no super secret club you have to join to look at their stuff. I saw one of their trucks today, I was going to give the driver the secret handshake but I forgot if it's pinky swear pinky swear devil horns or pinky swear devil horns pinky swear.

I only visit Matco and snapon.. Marcos site is better laid out in my opinion but snapon has many more items to deal with and online purchasing options

lets hope they bring the UK site inline. half the stock appears to be missing and you're not able to order any of the branded merchandise

I'd like to see the last of:

Image shown may not be actual
product but represents product
or set which includes product

But seriously, it is (was) the best of the tool websites. And I'd put MAC at the bottom. Let's hope it gets better, it certainly has room for improvement.

I've searched for things by part number and come up empty plenty of times... and they weren't super secret. Likewise, their keyword search sucked. Just like Matco's, and Mac's, and Cornwell's.

I have a driver, and honestly, I can stump more often than not. If he hasn't sold one, he don't know what it is, or that it exists, or a ballpark of what it costs. Not particularly knocking him, though I kinda expect someone who is essentially a salesman to know their product line pretty well... I can call Napa and ask for a few guys who can find me anything they carry by description, and they deal with basically every part for every car, not just a tool catalog.

For a company that has to have some huge profit margins, I don't think a freaking awesome website is too much to ask. Amazon manages it, and they have thin margins. Hell, make the site easier to use, and it sure isn't going to hurt sales any, either.

The only thing I would like to update is there small pics. Sometimes I want to check something out without hitting up the dealer for it, especially when he don't have it.

They do a good job at giving their truck owners first dibs at the specialty colors and new tools without putting them on the web in a timely fashion. I imagine this will continue, I realize the business reason, and I don't anticipate this being any part of the revamp. But I wish it wasn't that way. :)

Seems like Matco's site now. Not entirely convinced its as good an improvement it should be although I do like the new parts tab integrated into the tool page. One big thing I was hoping for was a list of tools that were currently on sale and online flyers. Still nada there. The new products page is also gone.

seems temporary, if you try to buy something or click on the cart link it redirects you to the new site.

Well they did.
I wont.
I like that info.
I logged into my account and sent them some feedback about it.

I can assure you it was very intentional that it was omitted from the update. Its the ratchets and pliers all over again.

I bet I can guess their reply. "We here at Snap-On feel that since we're a global company COO should not be used to judge quality when everything we brand Snap-On is of the highest quality".

Too bad they don't seem to understand some customers just don't want to support Asia when there are domestic alternatives, especially with the prices they ask for.

If you change country to Canada, you get the same crappy interface as before. And all the same information as before.

The new interface seems much slower too. The Canadian interface is way faster.

New US site is very slow compared to Canadian site.

I sent them an email informing them that having the COO present allowed me to make an informed choice before purchasing.
