How would you re-attach this Craftsman toolbox badge?

I'd probably put it back in the same spot, but remove the peg remnants on the badge and use superglue around the back edge perimeter.

OR See if you can just find a replacement badge, they might be cheap?

Me? I would epoxy small, strong magnets to the back of the badge. Then place it where ever you see fit on the box. I guess you could use double sided tape, then trim around the outside of the badge, but the magnets sound much easier. Just my 2¢

Adhesive. Like the stuff body shops use to hold the emblems on the newer cars.
You can also use adhesive silicone or double sided tape ( the foam backed type)

3M Maximum Strength Adhesive- in the red tube.

Use a couple of small dabs of hot glue to hold it in place while the adhesive sets.

DST (double stick tape) - use the outdoor rated stuff. Lay down a couple of strips, press the emblem onto the tape, trim with a hobby knife, install on box. Wait 24 hours for the adhesive to bond and it will hold up well.

If you can remove those “tabs” and if you can get to the back side of where the emblem attaches, I would use a Dremel tool with a sanding disk to remove the material on the emblem where the tabs were. Then I would use epoxy to mount two small bolts on the emblem so they line up with the holes in the tool box. Use two washers and two nuts and the emblem should be mounted pretty solid to the tool box.

3M automotive adhesive trim tape.
Found in any Walmart.

Grey tape with red backer.
Adhesive both sides and is very thin.

I have serveral badges held on for more than a decade with the stuff.
It's sticky as f&^% but can be removed with dental floss and cleaned with mineral spirits, Naptha or 3M adhesive remover.

Another vote for 3M trim tape. Stick it on the badge, trim the edges with a razor blade, peel the backing and stick it in place.

Get it in the right spot the first time because that tape doesn't come back off easily.

I just got a bunch of new motorcycle emblems and they all had the tape already applied. Easy job, just peel and stick.

I had a similar problem, but my tabs did not break. Just the ends of the plastic label were bowed out away from the chest. I drilled holes at both ends and put small screws in to hold it. I painted the screw heads black to match the background color.

naaahh, the only time I would ever consider putting a different badge on a toolbox would be if I was painting one up custom and put something cool like "Oldsmobile 442" badges or something. karma gets people who pull that re-badgeing "up" ****...

I ended up using super glue because that was what I had. Seems to have worked..

What do you mean? I remember when General Motors re-badged the Chevy Nova and made a Pontiac Ventura! Did bad karma get Pontiac? ............ Hmmmm ......... ok, that was a bad example.

Well, they rebadged the Nova and made an Oldsmobile Omega and Oldsmobile has .........uh ...... uh ..............ok, that wasn't good either.

Ok, ok, the Ford Taurus! Yeah, that's the one! Ford rebadged the Taurus and made a Mercury Sable. Good seller, right? And Mercury dealers all over have been doing just fine. ............... Mercury dealers .............. hmmmmm ........Mercury dealers ......... Come to think of it, where are all the Mercury dealers?

Ok, you may be right about the re-badging thing.
