Nice score on the puller cabinet. I love people who blow things out at good prices even though they're worth more. That means they know the time to sell is when they have a buyer standing there!
If I'm not mistaken, those leather pouches are WWII German ammo pouches.

This mornings pillaging efforts resulted in..

The sockets are all 1/2" drive Craftsman BE series sockets 12-pt.
9Four, I always crack up when I see an axe head that has been mounted upside down! Nice scores!
That Stanley vise is an oddball. does it tilt/swivel? looks like a model makers vise.

over that $8 lamp, like serious

I'm almost 99% sure they are Russian, standard issue with a mosin nagant rifle kit.![]()
Season's over around here. Going to try an auction for the first time tonight.

Toomanytoyzz, awesome cabinet and contents. Great birthday present, happy B-day, in advance.![]()

I did some investigating and it looks like the German and Russian had straight closing straps as opposed to the 'Y' shaped straps on these. Whatever they are, they're nice.
They came from a russian or soviet mosin kit. Almost all of the German pouches were strait straps, unlike the Russian and Soviet which were Y shaped, just like those pictured.
I knew there was something off with it but it did not hit me that it's upside down until you pointed it out.
Seriously 10¢? Great deal. How old are these sockets? I have a nearly complete set but don't know how old they are.
The last picture is a Swivel Knife for cutting detail into leather. Your index finger hooks over the fork to put pressure on the blade, while your thumb and forefinger turn the knife to follow a curve or detail.
I'm not familiar with the brand. I would guess medium quality. Better than what I got at Tandy Leather back when they still existed. Nice.
Tandy Leather is still very much in existence. My niece works at one of the stores.
Great finds all. LOL Matt, looks like it was really vise, hammer and pliers day for you.![]()

Weather is getting pretty chilly here, drastically fewer signs for sales. I was surprised when I found a few garage sale signs on the way home this afternoon. 1st stop was the worst. Said they just sold "A box full of tools for $30"!!! Nothing special, but quite a few things I've needed. $10 total. Not pictured is a brand new small pump up pesticide sprayer for a pressure bleeder build, and a can crusher, both included in the $10 total.
BE (New Britain) era was from about 1931 to 46.
I would agree with Outlaw.. Here is a great website that has a lot of CRAFTSMAN info.

Ok sound great. Thanks.
zkling,
My mom bought my dad a belt sander llike that in the mid 60's. I don't think he ever used it. But I used it a lot over the years and just a few years ago I finally wore it out and called Sears and there were no more parts availble for it so I bought a good used Makita. I got over 40 years out of that sander.

the two torx, bonney open end and the rivet sets were from one guy and the others were from another.

Small Snap-On box. Thought it was a cash box at first. Really needs the slides cleaned and lubed - $5
GTFO, YOU ****!!!Garage sales are drying up around here also but the Estate Sales are going strong. Everything found at Estate Sales.
Craftsman tool box - $60 ...........in great condition just needs some minor clean-up. Not a you **** deal but very fair considering the condition. Can anyone date the box ? also trying to get an idea of what top box may have gone with it in the day.

I say YOU **** for that clean Craftsman box at that price! Without doing a catalog search I would say its very late 50's through the 60's.
? Maybe it ran through the late 50's into the 70's?![]()
GTFO, YOU ****!!!
That craftsman box is very nice as well. From the very late 50's into possibly the beginning of 1960. It has the older drawer handles, but newer crown top logo.
