I'm heading to my local sears tomorrow to return my module. I don't think they have one in stock but if they have a USA I'll exchange it. At my sears they already have the shelves stocked with china wrenche sets, socket sets, and ratchets though. All of the loose sockets/wrenches are still USA.

Sad thing is if one of my USA sockets/wrenches/ratchets breaks, what will it be warrantied with? A china piece.

Take a few of your ratchets apart and go in and ask for rebuild kits. When you get home put the old parts back in and call it a day.

Technically, that is theft by deception.

Sears is not in the business of giving people spares for "just in case".

Well after my last experience with Sears, I'm not going to purchase any more of their stuff! Order was lost in action for almost a month. No one knew anything, couldn't tell me anything, wouldn't provide a refund. Then out of the blue, the order showes up. The module was thrown in a large box, no packing, an beat to **** by the time I got it! Not a problem as I'm installing the stuff on mag rails. But it just frost's me!!!

This wk I've been organizing the socket drawer with the Mag rails and I have to say, things look good. However, I miss counted, and need another 8 rails - LOL!!!! So hopefully, I'll be finished with that project within the next 2 weeks!!!! More $$$$

Lucky guys getting the USA stuff!

Returned my china module today. The employee was like, yup all our stuff is going to china, ***** don't it? I did go to my local Ace hardware and the only China they had were some wrenches and a few ratchets, most were still USA.

Looks like these things are on sale again. The regular pricing did not last long. I know my local store had the 1/2" and 1/4" sets in stock and they were made in the USA. There seems to be way too many deals on tools. A man could save his way into the poor house.

Looks like this info may have been incorrect. I'm not seeing sale prices today. I think I may have checked this from my phone yesterday, and maybe I was getting some cached pages. Regardless, I see regular pricing right now.

Picked up my 1/4" drive module set on Friday night. It's old news by now, but the writing on the back of the package read "Tools made in China," just like the pics jlockleOSU posted. Disappointed, I returned the set while I was there. The clerk didn't seem all that surprised about the reason for the return.

The place was a total ghost town. I think I was the only customer in the entire place. And on a Friday night too.

The 3/8 set I ordered online was made in USA, but the 1/4 were not. Taking the 1/4 back to see what they have on the shelves.

So are the 1/4" modules 100% china now, or is there any chance of a USA set? Anyone have a USA set they want to sell me for $50 + shipping?

There are still some USA 1/4" modules in stores but you will have drive around. It took me 2 stores to get all USA made. Your best bet is a store that's not very busy. Ordering online is a **** shoot

I just snagged a 1/4'' set two days ago. Made in USA. I would like the other two sets, mainly for the ratchets.

I bought all 3. I may pick up the 10pc wrench set, the bit socket set and the brake service set while they still have USA stock left. I had zero need for the socket modules but bought them anyway because I refuse to warranty a USA tool for a China. So I have duplicates. I have only warrantied one socket in 18 years but I am not taking any chances. I paid for a USA tool not a China

There is actually a made in USA impact module at my local store. Seems like they have mostly been non USA for a while.

I just picked up the 10pc full polish large wrench module at the Craftsman Club day for $85 (50% off). Still USA made, very nice wrenches in my opinion.

I had picked up the single 7/8 open stock wrench for $15 a week ago not realizing the sets were going on sale. Returned it and got the whole set for a nice deal. Also used the VALPAK5 code for $5 dollars off. It would not allow me to use the SEARSTOOLS code since these were a part of the club event.

Socket modules are back up at 60% off. Not sure if there are any US made ones left, but might be worth a look.

When I got mine last time around, 2 out of 3 three were USA. The 1/2" drive and the 1/4" drive came USA the 3/8" was not...

There are several ways you can work the deal depending on how many of the the sets you want. TOOLS10 = $10 off $50 for SYW Members, SEARS2013 = $5 off $50, SAVE15 = $15 off $75, TOOLS20 = $20 off $100 for SYW Members. The prices below are just some examples. You can use other tools as filler as long as you meet the code $ requirement. Keep in mind the SYW codes can only be used once per account. SYW members should check their accounts for any coupons or points to use. Pickup in-store or get free shipping if you spend $59+ or have SYWM.

Wow, that's the cheapest I've seen them. The most I have ever seen them is 50% off. This time it is almost 60% off.

The last time around, most people where reporting Made in China sets. But my store had several new old stock Made in the USA sets left. I might have to make a quick run over to the store to check stock status of USA sets.

TOOLS10 doesn't work anymore, it says:

This coupon is no longer valid. It has been used as many times as we allow.

I travel a lot for work and go to sears whenever I see one. I have only found 1 USA module socket set in SE Michigan, Toledo, Columbus, cincinatti, Dayton, Pittsburgh,Erie pa,western Ny and Indianapolis. It was a 1/2 set and I don't remember where I saw it. The big wrench modules have always been USA. Probably a slow mover and a lot of USA stock left. Impact socket modules have been USA as far as I have seen. Just got 3/8 metric 6pt shallow and deep USA 9pc sets for my nephew. He is a mechanic and was going to overpay for blue point Taiwan sets. Got them for him for Xmas.
