Sorry for being AWOL.

Busy.

Here's a quick video that shows how totally awesome the MaxJax lift really is.

http://www.maxjaxusa.com/maxjax-lift...jax-video.html

For all the naysayers.....told you so!

- It's very rigid even with this rear-heavy car.
- Equalization - very precise.
- Easy to install - 6 minutes to be exact.
- Columns cumbersome? - not.

Hope you like.

How many locking points does this lift have and at what spacing? Thanks.

I am very interested in this lift, but I am concerned about the lifespan of the floor inserts. They usually are not rated for constant use. What anchors are you using and what are the specs?

Thanks

Mike

that's a great question.........and is there an ovesize option to put in if the old ones do become questionable?.............obviously there will be a need for more than 1 set if different configurations are required, so not having to wait for an order from the manufacturer and being able to buy locally would be a great benefit..............

I have no idea of what they will be shipping with the units, and when I last spoke to Jeff, he said that it is a couple months away before they will be ready to ship these units. I would have to believe that the anchors will be of a top quality material. I also know that you can purchase anchors locally at a good mill supply house. I installed some anchors in the concrete when I was building my deck. I didn't care for the lead expansion anchors, so I used some anchors that you set into the special cement that you pour into a drilled hole. After that stuff set up, I tried to pull them out, but it was impossible. The only way that they were coming out was if I drilled them out. This is probably what you will need to do if you are replacing the anchors in your garage floor. I learned about this high strength cement from a friend that installs machinery at places like Pratt & Whitney.

Jeff,
Add me to the list for a group purchase of this lift.

I just finished pulling a ****** from a Dodge minivan this weekend via jackstands and my old body is still sore. This lift would add to my "quality of life" as I explained to the wife...(and she agrees)

Hello all,
I have one of the "test" units and it has been working stellar since the day I got it. It has lifted everything from my `05 Harley Road King to my `59 T-bird to my `08 F150 without fail. In short, I love this lift.

More to come in a separate thread...

I watched the video, someone buy that poor guy a decent torque wrench.

(The lift is a nice piece of equipment. Let's see if it can be bought for under 2K)

I don't mind the wait as long as they come out with a US$1,500.00 delivered introductory price!

That would be a really nice price, defiantly would push me over the top and get one anyway, BUT, the longer time goes by and the worse the economy gets, I may be forced to pass anyway. I hope this doesn't silently pass as the proposed miller mig welder deal did....H

Oh man, I wish I'd known about this before I ordered my P6 a few months ago which is still sitting on the pallet because my garage floor has a slight crown right in the middle and I'm not sure what is the easiest way of fixing it. Dang it Jeff, you could at least keep your neighbors well informed about your products :)

Russell,

If the P6 is still on pallet - no worries. We'll be happy to swap the unit for you in this case. It's in our best interest to get some of these things out there. Shoot me a PM and we'll make arrangments.

Your welcome. :>)

Just finished final report for initial production unit. All is well so we are moving forward with mass production.

To all - I will get back soon with detals about GJ group purchase.

Woot!
If you could answer my question about the inserts, that would be great.

I am concerned with continuous torque and loosen as I move the lift around.

Thanks

Hello all - Happy holidays!

First production MaxJax unit has been going through testing. All is well - except for the fact that the lift was painted blue. :headscrat

Interesting note. When our guys were installing the anchors they screwed up drilling the holes. They were in a rush and did not mark the holes correctly so the bolts did not line up with the recessed anchors. Well, they only got one recessed anchor and bolt in the backside of the column - there should be three. The rear anchors pretty much do all the work. We then proceeded to load the lift with 9,000 pounds with the arms fully extended. (Three, 3000-lb. bundles.) The one lonely anchor held firm and the lift worked flawlessly. See link below. NOTE: The hydraulic pipe exiting the rear of the column is not the correct set-up. They hard lined the install because they were in a rush and no need to quick-disconnect etc.

Should make all users feel a little more warm and fuzzy about the anchors doing their job.

All of us at BendPak wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.xmas

P.S.
Please be aware that the lift will now be marketed as a Dannmar product.

I think the question has been about cycling the anchors - particularly if one were to do it with the impact wrench as shown in the video. Have any tests been done of running the anchors into the inserts several hundred times to see if the inserts loosen up at all over time?

Understand that that I'm not particularly saying it will be a problem, but I could see that it might be a problem and pretty much the only concern I'd have about the setup. I'm pretty much sold on getting one, but I have a feeling that I'll be a bit paranoid about making sure that everything is holding properly every time I go to use it.
