My secret Santa did great! I got an awesome set of machinist squares in a nice wood case. I've been eyeing some squares all year but never pulled the trigger. I'll put these to use if I ever have time between work and school.

Thanks!

No pix/no event; so, here is the photographic proof. NEWIYWV really did send me a great assortment. In particular, the magnetic pickup tool is a great improvement over the others I've tried to use. The magnet is inside a bell shaped housing that brings the opposite pole up front - like a horseshoe magnet rotated around one of the poles. This not only multiplies the holding force at the end, it greatly reduces the strength at the sides, so it has very little tendency to stick to things at the sides while you're trying to snake it down to that lost bolt.
The flashlight, utility knife and DVM are things I use ADED in my work. I destroy one or two DVM's every year, but don't dare buy really good (expensive) ones because I've also been know to lose them.
You really hit the mark, Santa. Ho, ho, ho!

Thank you Boro-boy70 for the awesome gifts. This was way more than I was expecting and all will be put to good use.

fyi...for those wondering, the smaller pliers have "Utica Tools" markings on them. The beer is from Utica, NY as well.

First off, Merry Christmas to all of you guys. This year my Secret Santa was Caper150, I was surprised to see that everything was wrapped...Note to self, wrap everything next year.
Darryl included a Christmas card and note along with the gifts.

A gorgeous airbrushed piece.

And I got a 3 sided orange Snappy screwdriver and a sweet set of Felo screwdrivers, my first time handling a set of these and I look forward to trying them out.

Thank you very much, I really pleased with the gifts.

Dan

Edit I almost forgot to thank BWP for his hard work on once again organizing this year's Secret Santa, and Ryan and company to allowing us to have fun on such a great site.

I'm gald you liked them, I hope you find a good spot for the airbrush piece and I have Felo as well and love them......although you still can't beat hard handle snappy's.

First off, Thank You Ft. Vallonia Streaker…
Just to let the rest of you guys know he did a great job as a S.S. I enjoy many things and he hit all of them.
‘Santa’ sent me:
A very nice metric wrench set that will be used later today.
A Tomahawk knife that I will have to use with care as the cheapies I have get used for anything and everything.
A very cool nesting screwdriver set.
Since I am a Ford guy the vintage “Ford Brakes” wrench will be put up for display.
A 1976 “Bicentennial “ Indiana license plate for Garage Art…
And a couple bottles of beer from the local Upland Brewing Company. I’m looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the Wheat ale and Bad Elmer’s Porter from Bloomington IN.

Thank you so much Santa, aka… Fr. Vallonia Streaker

I haven't received mine yet but I'm not too worried as I'm in Yuma, AZ so I won't be able to open anything until I get back around the first of January.
The biggest disappointment is that my package hasn't made it to my guy yet. It was suppose to be delivered by the 19th but the last update was on the 15th when it left the sorting facility in Chicago. A little choked because right now I'm thinking the gift is being enjoyed by someone else. Here's to hoping for the best over the next few days...

What's the protocol here, should I be contacting my guy to let him know or just ride it out for a bit longer?

Just be glad you didn't post this on CraigsList. If you had, you'd be excoriated on GJ for misspelling the name that's clearly cast into the vise. As it is, you're just getting a good-natured ribbing.:bounce::bounce:

Toomanytoyzz, thank you! This is one of the coolest gift on garagejournal! Not to mention a USA Colombian! merry Christmas!

I got all my secret santa stuff in from Oxjaw. I received

SK 45172 3/8 thumb drive
6-1 Made in the USA screwdriver
and a SK baseball cap

I really like the stuff I got, I figured it would be pretty difficult to get something I didn't already have. I don't have a 3/8 thumb drive and am super excited I get to add it to my collection. You can never have enough screwdrivers or baseball caps. The 5-1/6-1 screwdrivers are my favorites because of their versatility.

Thanks Oxjaw really appreciate everything. :D:D:D

Merry Christmas, and I'm glad you like your stuff. The 6 in 1 screwdriver is a new Enderes Tools screwdriver, I wanted to try out there new stuff and thought it would make for a good gift.

I'm glad you I managed to get something you didn't have.:D I hope the ratchet comes in handy.

Here is my SS haul from Rawlins87

Thanks for everything and the gift card will get put to good use. The Harley/Ford model is pretty sweet and so is the old Craftsman wrench. Also thanks for the Canadian penny, it will be added to my collection.

Merry Christmas to my Secret Santa and to everyone else, this was a lot of fun and I'll be sure to participate next year.

My SS was JeffMoss26 and he sent quite an assortment of things. I am most excited about the file I was just thinking I needed another. Also excited about the Wounded Warrior bracelet, glad part of my present was helping them. Thanks for everything- Merry Christmas!

Well APONG 23 came through as my secret santa this year. Along with some stickers I received some cool items from his work in computer chips.

Unfortunately my wife took one look at a pair of specialized tweezers and called dibs!

My secret santa gift has not made it's way to Germany as of yet even though I mailed it on 12/11 so for those of you who didn't have something to open....Keep the faith.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I love those screwdrivers. They are dang handy for electronics work, I've had both for years

This is going to be pretty sweet. It's a rim made into a clock. Of course, the post office handled it rough so the hands were damaged and will need to be replaced. But I can take care of that with a trip to Michaels. I've already got a good spot picked out for it! Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all. I'd like to thank my S.S. tjmonsen5 for the wonderful gifts. I'm new here at GJ and he made it real special with the great box of treasures.
Snap On baseball hat. ( I have a hat collection, but no Snap On till now).
Snap On long sleeve orange T-shirt ( he must have known I love to wear long sleeve T's).
Knipex cobras.(Incredible pliers)
Stylus flashlight.(Cool pocket light, I'm always in need of flashlights).
Snap On letter opener (this thing is way cool, never seen one in person, a great addition to my collection of unfinished wrenches also).
Snap On Frisbee (will definitely make it to the beach with me and be the new babe picker-upper).

I want to give a big thanks to BellyUpFish! Thanks man great gifts. I have to start with the RC cola and moon pie. I didn't take care of those yet, but I will soon. The safety glasses are freakin awesome, lightweight, clear and comfortable. You can never have too many safety glasses. The coca-cola bottle opener is going on the side of my work bench. Those decals are nice. FME = Foreign Material Exclusion. I love it. And the pocket reference is really neat. I've seen them before but I never looked at one. There's a lot of good information in there. Thanks again. Merry Christmas. xmas

I received a special delivery from north of the border this morning. Thanks Santa!

You're quite welcome and I'm glad it made it there before Christmas. The lady at the post office said it would be close! Hope you enjoy your gifts!
Got a PM from my SS the day he posted mine. Mail takes a little longer coming north so I'm sure it'll show later this week or early next.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

I had Turnpikecruiser, and he sent me some cool hot and mild chili, a hat from Roswell (his hometown), some plates to adorn the walls and a super bright flashlight to add to my collection of lights. I may need a permit to use this light, it's that bright!

You did an outstanding job, and I look forward to using that light!
