Thanks to Subyroo651..got a set of snap ring pliers and he really did his homework on this one...a pic of a Country Squire in brick, my Grandpa done this at a dealership back in the early 70's. I posted a story about it in free parking a couple years ago. That will be hanging in the very box he worked out of, TOO FUNNY! Memories are what this time of year is all about, Thank You..... USPS didn't do us any favors, but waiting is part of the fun.

Huuuge thanks to my Secret Santa, River1 (Jim). First package was an envelope full of stickers, I especially like the HAMB ones!!! The second package he really outdid himself. It is a Thread Checker. I have been wanting one of these for a couple of years, but for some reason or another never got around to ordering one. I love it, perfect choice. We are in the process of selling our house, and buying a new house that was a former apple orchard, with a huge barn/workshop. It will be hung up in the new shop as soon as it is officially ours. Thanks again to River1 (Jim)

That's great! I was really disappointed with USPS but it made it and I hope that the pic keeps the fun memories alive. I couldn't find anything I knew you would like, so I came up with the Brick idea. Definitely enjoyed it, Merry Christmas xmas

RPH was my SS --- he sent me a nice card with a nice letter attached, a vintage/antique hammer (lead?), a pair of craftsman 3/8" breaker bars, and a nice adjustable length breaker. Very cool stuff!! No picture, been busy as hell with the ice storm that hit us. Thank you very much!!! I already have the hammer added to my pegboard!

I'm waiting to hear from Mike662 though --- hoping he got the gift I sent him. USPS said it got there last Thursday???

Haven't Heard from my SS yet :(

I did finally get to open mine a day late!! My SS was MJB24 and he sent me a couple of awesome Felo Screwdriver sets! These are my first tools from Felo and I'm pretty impressed!

Thanks MJB24!!!

Nice hope you like. I knew it was atleast something you didn't have. And who can't have a few more screwdrivers.

Late to the show today! Sorry about this, I was sick all day yesterday, if it wasn't for the kids I would have stayed in bed all day and never opened any presents. I could only guess it was a really bad sinus headache mixed with a minor flu and bad cold all in one hit. My wife was worried about me as I usually don't fall for the count like that.

Either way I LOVED the gear wrenches!!!! I've been eyeballing a set of metrics for the toolbox and a set of SAE for the Bronco and this hit the nail on the head!!

img_1006.jpg

img_1005.jpg

One set will be split between the toolbox and the bronco, the other will be stored with my hidden stashed for my future kid, don't tell the wife! SHH!!!!

Oh and yea there's more presents to open since my Mother came in last night, that was a miserable drive to the airport to go pick her up...

But my garage journal present was the last to be open so they had watch me open it! LOL

Thanks Adam! aka 89mustanggx

Big Gus was my secret santa
he sent me a pair of Knipex pliers. I have been wanting to get a set to try them out based on all the good things folks here have said about them but been a bit too lazy to actually buy a set....so a very big thank you for those

it appears that he is under the impression that I tend to drop things because he also sent me a magnetic pickup tool. well I have to admit he is right about the dropping things, so another big thanks for that

they will get good use on my mustang projects

My SS was Kunkernator who sent me a nice assortment of goodies that will be put to use soon!

Thanks to Kunkernator and everyone else on GJ for making this such an awesome forum. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

I hope you enjoy what I put together. To be honest, it was hard shopping for you.... I have been putting together odds and ends for a while for my secret Santa, but couldn't find any specifics from your postings. :(

Oh well, I hope you like the goodies, and hope you and your family had a great holiday season! :bounce: xmas

I know where my SS is from but no idea of screen name.

I got a 14" Defiance, OH pipe wrench, a 12" Wilkens "Coes" style monkey wrench and a block style tool I have absolutely no idea what it is.
None.
Zero.

I gave my SS a new 12" Vaughn dougle faced hammer, and a .50 cal M2A1 ammo can with new Knipex linemans pliers and a big bottle of very local Hot and Spicy BBQ sauce in it. :)

Thanks to all.

That block might be a wire stripper. Put the wire in and pull to strip off the insulation prior to scrapping it.

I wasn't too worried, at least not until after New Years! Thanks for the update , now I can not complain. I appreciate it.

I spent my coldest Christmas in Scwabach in '72 in the Army.

Hi all - This exchange is so great. I scoured my entire package... but couldn't find the name of my SS... but what they put together is fantastic!

They sent over a 1/4 Plomb speeder, which is a great addition to my collection... but the coolest part is what's pictured. A license plate collage that spells "Plomb".

Plomb License Plate.jpg

This is definitely something that will be hanging in my garage till I die... way to nail it whoever you are!!!

Thanks and Merry Christmas all!

Looking through all these posts it looks like there was a Channellock theme to the gift giving... that or bottle openers! I know I gave Channellock stripers/cutter/crimper!

That sign is cool! But I'd want one with a "V" instead of the "O"

Many many many thanks to my Secret Santa, blown94conv  A very nice assortment of nothing but the finest.

On the tools side, a shiny SK 1/2" socket set and SK 7/16" 6pt combo wrench. SK goodness. On rails, I've been needing one 1/2" socket rail. Done
No more waiting though that slow online snap on catalog for me. I can now drool on the paper much faster.
A very "me" snap on hat. Meaning, not too flashy, simple and best of all a replica of my favorite SO emblem the 1960's chrome emblem.
I've been wanting to try the loctite sticks, looks like now is the time.

Topped off with some snap on hand cleaner a mug, coozie, and a license plate "seconds count". Which is going to be pretty ironic since my econo box 4 bagner car is lucky to break 8 sec 0-60mph.

blown94conv really out did himself on this one.

Either way works for me. Without any modifications to close the top of the V I think O was a good choice.

Thank you again!

My recipient hasn't posted yet, but the tracking says it was delivered on 19th December. I sure hope he has it.

I did receive it!!! SOrry for the delay! As I don't have internet at home, it's difficult to be able to post pics! I will try to get them up tonight when family stuff winds down!

My secret Santa gift arrived today :D

It was the only gift that made it under our tree this year and of course had to get the pic.
image_zpse8399ca9.jpg

Flathead Red was my secret Santa and did an awesome job at researching what my interests were
Now I'll have some new gear for my toolbox when I move to my new house and they are green

image_zps830577dc.jpg

Thanks Flathead Red for the awesome gift and I can't wait to do this again next year!
