I finally got the shop's new Introduction Movie done!!!!!!!!!

Oh thank God, whewwwww. After this, I have a lot more respect for those Hollywood movie producer types now LOL! :D

As always, comments are welcome and appreciated! I'd love to hear what you guys think -- your opinions matter a lot.

The Movie looks great Leann, of course the work does too!

Last night I cut and buffed the small parts for my Wide Glide and got them assembled. Hung out with my son and BSed a bit while he was polishing his bike.

Pulled the motor and trans from the CSX. Trans has some noise in neutral. Thinking it's the input shaft bearing. I'll pull it apart next weekend and see.

I built a "jig" for cutting the metal siding that was left over from the shop siding. I'm rebuilding the Taylor woodfired hot water heater for the shop. The fitting for the aqustat broke and thermometr broke off when I tried to remove the old burned off ones. I bought a new grinder and cut the old fitting off flush to the front of the barrel. I then bought a couple of 1/2 inch pipe flanges, used some galvanized pipe in them with some red high temp RTV on the flanges and bolted them over the old locations using SS self-tapping screws to secure them. I saved the extra insulation from the new shop building that was left over and rewrapped the tank with it. I'm going to build a frame and mount the left over siding to the frame so it's match the new shop building. I'm looking some Red Pex with the O2 barrier now to re-plumb the heater back to the shop. I only need 150-200 ft and I hate to buy a 500 ft roll, it's $219.00. I did find a couple of Pex manifolds with valves on EBay, they're about $45 each or I can build two manifolds for about 1/2 that. I picked up the controls yesterday and the blower fan for it today. Thursday I'll go pick up the steel for the frame and start back cutting siding to fit it. I might have heat back in the new building next week. It'll be "rigged" but working. My guess is the contractor will not be back until Monday to work on the insides again.

Yesterday I finished the carpet in my Jon Boat.

I got two signs for my garage for Christmas!

"Dad's Garage" and a replica Shell auto sign.

Plan on hanging those later this Christmas day, its 17 F outside right now.

Merry Christmas!

Installed a radio in my FFR Cobra Replica (don't know why, can't hear it over the side pipes!) Anybody else have a Factory Five Roadster?

^^ My dad would love one. Hes always talking about them. I didnt think they were that cool when he initially wanted to build one but they are growing on me.

Did you build it yourself Dave Van? Is that a hard top on yours?

Starting to get my new engine ready to go in in the next couple days. Hopefully get time to tear my T-case apart and swap gears to match the new transmission that's going in as well.

Since I got thrashed here for not draining my compressor often enough I installed a ball valve so I can easily drain it on a regular basis. Ball valve idea came for a post somewhere here on GJ, can't recall by who, but thanks for the idea.

Built a home made case tumbler out of a right angle drive wheelchair motor, An aluminum wheelchair wheel and a gallon jar from fruit salad!

Didnt think to take pics of the build but it was a 2 piece wheel and I clamped the bottom of the jar between the 2 wheel halves and then clamped the right angle drive in a vise. It works great!

Almost finished my welding table - tool/grinder/vise mounts to build. Even watched some Thomas with my 4 year old daughter during coffee break... yes we take coffee breaks on our days off too.

Went out to the shop after work and started up the Hillman Husky just had to hear it run. Then did a little repair on one of the wheels. Now I got to get the exhaust done on it. and a set of tires. Still did to finish the interior and paint.

Filling the generator with gas (un-attatched garage with doors open). Going on 5 days with no power here in Maine from ice storm. This is getting old, but linesman are doing there best and brought in crews from NJ and NH to help.

I installed my sink. I had it stubbed in when the house was built. I bought the sink with some Christmas money and got it in!
Although I'm confused... It doesn't leak, what did I do differently from all my other plumbing projects?

This was a few days before Christmas but I managed to build this TARDIS in the garage without my son knowing about it.

Not really in my garage, more like in the driveway.
Remodeling my trailer I use for kart racing.
Added the cabinets and bench. Insulated, added 110v lights and plugs, new ceiling and paint.
Just have the tool box, tire rack on the wall and the jib crane to go back in.
