I've had two orders with them that had either a wrong item or missing item, they took care of both problems right away with no problems.

How are those Tsunoda pliers?

yeah, Level Chrome replied to my email very promptly and will send me the correct items that I ordered. so far, so good...

Love the Tsunoda Power pliers so far... I had previously ordered one and was very impressed so I decided to pick these two up since they were on sale at Level Chrome. I consider them up there with Knipex.

A good day all around:

OK, not technically a tool, but important none the less :)

As it so happened, I was loading up my truck with some recycle stuff today, and a neighbor driving by saw me loading up a dead circa 1970's 10lb Pyrene extinguisher and he stopped to chat. Great guy, and I see him maybe only once a year when he checks on a nearby rental property. He said 'Good God, that's ancient.....here - take a new one!" and he hops out of his truck and fishes this out from the back with a new bracket. I totally forgot he works for a local fire suppression company :) Insisted I take it for free despite my protest, and then tagged and sealed it. A complete random act of kindness!

Once I resumed my original trip, I went to Canadian Tire to burn off some gift cards from the holidays and was in search of a jack to replace my old dinky trolley jack that was far too short and underpowered

From what I can tell after reading nearly all the jack threads, this one appears to be a kissing cousin to the Arcan HJ2500, but with a 3 Ton capacity and plastered with Motomaster decals everywhere...... Regular $249, but marked down to $117 - with gift cards and wad of CanTire money ended up ~$90 OTD. Not a Hein Werner, but for me a definite upgrade.

Riding on the good tool wave, I treated myself to a set of GW 1/2" extensions from KMS for about $38 to round out the day:)

Not sure if this one belongs here or the Garage Sale Thread, but found a DeWalt DC385 with box & no battery off a local site similar to CL a couple days ago

Hadn't been used or out of the case, and picked up for $40. Works great, and I already have a whack of 18V NiCads kicking around already :)

Cheers,
Tom

I picked up a new Channellock 440 and some individual Felo Screwdrivers to replace a few worn out Home Depot ones I have.

I also got a bunch of individual Northern tool sockets of clearance to fill up some empty pegs on my socket trays. All of these ended up being under $20

Haven't had a chance to use them yet, looking forward to it though. Brand new and unused, only paid £85 for that set.

We'll disagree on that then. It's painfully slow but it's a great machine in my eyes.

That's a steal. Retail is over $600 here.

Laptop + VCDS + a good amp clamp and meter, and it renders that box useless.

I've been lurking for a few months, figured this was as good a place as any for my first post! Apologies for the lackluster pics

Today I picked up a Titan 1/4" stubby ratchet (thanks to this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231208) and a 3/8" gearless stubby at Northern Tool. The 1/4" is very smooth and seems solid, but time will tell. I bought the gearless as a novelty, not sure yet if I like it.

A couple days ago I hit Kmart and Sears Outlet looking for USA Craftsman deals. Kmart had an odd selection and the store was a wreck. I snagged a set of short pry bars for $17 and a battery terminal wrench for GM side posts for $3. Yes, the packages were torn up like that on the shelf (as were most of the other tools there.)

At Sears Outlet I grabbed a combo pack of 9 metric and 9 SAE deep sockets for $20. They're 12 point sockets, but I couldn't pass 'em up. Also got three locking extensions for a few bucks each.

Not as active on here as I'd like to be, but here are a couple of "tools" I've picked up over the past couple of months. I use ladders pretty extensively, so to me they're a tool...and for ladders, these are both pretty awesome.

This one is the Little Giant Lunar. Lighter than standard extension ladders due to the skeletonized rails. Has a double-pulley robe located on the side rather than centered on the rungs, a V-rung for placement on poles...even a level. One of the biggest things I like is the skeletonized rails allow you to hang tools and stuff (impact, drill, spray bottle, rags, etc.) off the punched out sections. Great for when you're 25' up in the air.

And this is the Little Giant Select Step step ladder. Adjusts from a 6' to a 10' step ladder, has a nice standing platform, the "Airdeck"/support handle. Great ladder - I love it. Not your typical tools, but if you spend a lot of time on one, it's easy to get excited about one with great features like this.

We started using those ladder at work about 2 years ago. A bunch of other techs complained about the side pully getting caught and the v needed to be deeper. Little giant redsigned them for us. Light as heck but be carefull in the winter. If the ladder falls when it real cold out it will warp the frame easy
