That is looking great Mark. That is a classic I could see myself driving.
Did you happen to catch any of the Barrett-Jackson this weekend? I think it was George Barris had a split window there.
Thank you I appreciate it. I have another guy on board to help me with the design. He was the CEO of Baldwin Motion for 7 years. He has taken quite a few cars to SEMA. This design may change drastically but I wanted to take you guys through the design stage.
I was watching the Barrett-Jackson this weekend. It is always nice to see some of the cars roll through there. I am heading up to the Orlando area this weekend for the Mecum auction and the NCRS Corvette show as well. Lots of things going on up there with cars so I am taking the wife up for a few days.
Mark,
While at the NCRS show ask for "Terry the beard." I would love to meet you and the Mrs.
Be careful, Mark. Don't come home with some new toy, just because it was there... Classic car auctions are easy to get caught up in the moment. Especially if the car is really cool and the price feels right...

Mark, the renderings look awesome! What about adding some fiberglass in front of the rear tire to help direct airflow around it? You could probably blend it well enough to look almost like a factory wide body. Under the bodyline only. Does that make sense?
That stance is perfect, but rather impossible on the front
I totally hang a poster of that rendering in my garage
For a name of the new place....MARK'S MAD RAD RIDES"
fantastic picture!!! I see you like old stuff. I have a 1969 John Deere 140 my grandfather bought new. As young man I mowed his yard with this tractor. I would imagine we used it for over 20 years. It was restored about 15 years ago and I have it here in my garage.
I am so sorry I missed this message from you. We were all over the NCRS show and I would have liked to have met you.
After a 7 month rest the c10 pickup truck is back!! Pulled it off the lift today and getting back to work on it. We are pretty much changing the entire engine compartment from the original design. Thats my problem when i let things sit too long..........I change my mind. I really think we are going to finish it this time!!

Mark that's a cool c-10 was hoping you would start on it can't wait to see it after all the cool builds
Mark, have you ever come back to a project after a long break and reevaluated your old work? What did you think of it if you did?
I'm thrilled to see the C10 getting some attention. It's a vehicle that has been done to death by nearly everyone, but I've never watched a build of one. These trucks sometimes get built to such high levels that they'd be right at home at the top-notch hot rod shows.
Terry, was that you under the lift talking to all of the guys? I walked over there because there was a bunch of guys standing around under the car.
Depends on the year of the car on the lift. Awesome news. Can't wait to hear more details. The level of craftsmanship certainly deserves going to the next level and beyond!
Mark...are you going to fix up the new building so look similar to the inside of the garage you are in now? The reason I ask is that I think it would be so much more enjoyable to work in that sort of atmosphere that it would be to work in a building that just has Plain Jane walls. Where you're at now, it has a lot of character. I don't think anyone would be tired of working in there.
This is so much fun, watching your hobby turn into a full-blown business. Keep inspiring, Mark.
I've got my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted, I'd love to see the new place once everything is finalized.
As for the shop name, you may want to check and see if there is a website already existing with the same name. For instance, if you chose Gulf Coast Rod & Customs looking on the net, there are already a few with that name and the website URL is taken.
It's OK Mark, my wife thinks I'm spending all this time looking at naked women or sending money to a Nigerian.
Mark is this new venture going to just be custom /resto work or are you planning on doing collision work(aka insurance work) too. I spent many years in that biz and it ***** these days

We all know you're doing one of the two...![]()

No money, just the password for my bank account so they can deposit the $37,0000,000.00.Yeah. Stop sending money to the Nigerians![]()
Collision work has other people telling him how to repair a car. That doesn't sound like Mark. Even HE doesn't know what direction a project will take!![]()
*gets the car back* Why is my car a different color? And why is the interior different?

I wish I would have taken a picture of the all aluminum frame.
Mark, I believe that Stacey David built one of those Super lite cars on the TV show Gears. Pretty badass ride. Interested in seeing what it looks like once at your shop.
I heard you finally met my friend Bob, I believe at your church.

I'm guessing that when you wreck your Lambo you can buy the wreck from the insurance company for the salvage price and then have all those parts just laying around. Probably cheaper (and cooler) than buying an LS7 and Porsche G50 transmission and all the related accessories. You are correct. I remeber that episode. Really cool looking car but still puzzled why you would put a Lamborghini engine in one.![]()
