Radio arm saws don't actually have radio's.. you're thinking of a Sawzaw.
Laugh all you want, but check out the manual which came with the RAS. Sears was marketing them as being able to function as a saw, shaper, grinder, planer, sander, router and drill press. There was a 'how-to' section for each function. Yes, they'd do all that, just most of it not very well.
