Nice picture! I'm 1 wrench away from having a complete set of SAE, only need to get the 1 1/2 wrench to complete that set. I'm missing a few of the larger metric wrenches.....once I get all the cross force wrenches in and organized, I'll post some photos!!:rocker:

Thanks! I believe the 1 5/16" and 1 1/2" are the only 2 of the five total remaining sizes that I might actually find a use for. Not so much the 28mm, 30mm and 32mm. If those two SAE sizes go on clearance sometime in the future, I may pick them up too. I'll keep a watch out for them!

Stubbies arrived today. I also picked up the 22mm and the 1" which were not on sale.. still they more complete my set so... Beautiful set of tools! My first set of full polish Craftsman end wrenches. Very satisfied for sure. Thank you for the heads up on the KILLER stubby set deal!:thumbup:

The first wave arrived for me today. I got a bunch of sockets I needed. It took me over a hour to get my order and it was missing two sockets. After doing inventory in the car and found the mistake I went back in and they said we found one still in the box. But the other is missing. So the last 30 mins I have been chatting with Sears to get a replacement shipped directly to my house.

I have a question about the Professional (Industrial) sockets if someone may have some insight on it. I received a few sockets that did not say Industrial on it but the part number was correct. And most of the sockets that I got that did say Industrial had a different part number from what my order says it should be. What is going on? Should they all say Industrial if I ordered the sockets that say Professional?

None of them were laser etched and they are all made in the USA. One that was rusted a little I tried to change out in the store but I didn't like that it looked different and kept the rusted one. The one in the store was more shinny and had the laser etch on it. And I could swear it was not as heavy.

The Craftsman Industrial part #'s listed on the Sears website do not match the part #'s listed in the Craftsman Industrial catalog. I've got the 437 page Craftsman Industrial catalog sitting beside me, however, all of the part #'s listed on the wrenches I bought, match the part #s listed in the catalog, I would assume the same is the case for the sockets.

Do some Industrial sockets not have the Industrial stamp on it?

That I do not know as I don't own any Industrial sockets, just wrenches. Though looking through the catalog, it appears that the Industrial sockets do say Industrial on them.

I did a Google search and of course Garage Journal came up. From what I can tell there was a Professional line and Industrial line which are at the same level. So I wonder if when they were called Professional they didn't stamp anything on it that said Professional or Industrial?

On another note, I did receive my 13 metric CI cross force wrenches today and I actually found a way to store them that I'm pleased with....it's just trying to reorganize the rest of the wrenches that is tough, but I think I got....just need to get a few more wrench rails....pictures to come once all is done and I receive the standard cross force wrenches next week!!

I own both the deep and shallow sae CI impact sets. All of them have Craftsman Industrial stamping on them. I don't own any of the metrics, so can't say for those.

Edit: After owning these sets for over a year now, I've just discovered that my 11/16 deep socket isn't stamped "Industrial". Never noticed before since it is identical in every way to the rest of the set. Also, the part # is completely different from the rest of the set. It would be nice if others that purchased one of these sets could check and see their 11/16 deep is the same way? Maybe mine was just a packaging error?

Second Edit: I also own a set of the chrome 1/2" drive, 6pt, 3/8" thru 1 1/8". All of those are stamped "Industrial".

I had a couple sockets that were not stamped "industrial" either. I'm not sure the issue, but I'm happy they are the correct size and USA made without any defects.

Here is more details and pictures. I checked the links and even the picture on the website shows the same style I received with the little lines on the socket. It still says G2 on it so it should be from the same factory. Just not sure why they are not Industrial and the part number is the same from my order sheet. And then all the others have a different part number and are Industrial. Sears can be so confusing. And even more funny is only one out of all of the sockets I purchased has a tag on it that says Industrial. Not that I care about the tag but found that interesting.

Today I picked up two bolt out remover sets that was half off. First set comes with a case that has extra space made for the second set that has no case. So they all fit together. Not bad for $20 total. All Made in USA.

just found an assorted dozen sockets that i needed on my racks... all 6 point, some 1/4, some 3/8, some 1/2, some 1/2 impact... slowly filling them up lol

I've owned that 12mm #43513 socket in your fourth photo since the late 80's. Long before Craftsman Industrial existed. Same thing with that 19mm. I've had it forever too. From what I'm seeing in your photos and looking at my own sets, if the part # begins with a "2" it's Industrial. If it begins with a "4", it's standard.

BTW, those "little lines" that you are referring to indicates that it's a metric socket. Though I'm not seeing them on the actual Industial sockets in your photos, in the past Craftsman has always put them on all of their chrome metric sockets so that it's easier to tell at a glance that it's a metric sized socket. It looks like Craftsman decided to omit them on the Industrials.

One of mine was a 6 point, shallow, 1/2" drive, 1-1/2" socket. It was crossed off the packing list, and written in was "different part number, same part". The socket was on a plastic hang tag that had a different number. The socket itself was completely bare. It had no markings on it at all, whatsoever.

Ordered and received my 3/4 drive sockets - no sure what I'll ever do with some of these huge sizes but at this price/quality I couldn't pass. Also got some larger metric 1/2 drive - all industrial USA. It seams like Sears has been getting rid of the "Industrial" stuff for at at least a year now. How much inventory did they have?

I compared with my set from the early 90's and it is the same as well. Maybe they just put the description wrong calling it professional? When I looked at my order sheet most of the numbers started with 4 but when I got them the number was different and the Industrial started with a 2. Very confusing.

I would request a replacement. Unless you hold on to the receipt you have no warranty for in store replacement. Guess it depends on who you get also. But a manager told me once that if does not say Craftsman on it to keep the receipt.

I saw some 3/4 extensions in the store clearance also. Just way too big. I guess if I was a diesel mechanic or something... Hmmm I just want all tools. I can't blame you for getting them.

As for inventory I picked 12 of a single socket and they said they did not have enough of it. So it looks like they are starting to run out.

I never seem to get a lot of points. But I think I got like $2.50 from buying the bolt extractors.
That is a decent set isn't it?
They had them in stock, I will probably take a ride today, good excuse to go back to Ollies to return the 24" straight pry bar.

I'm in search of the industrial full polish 10mm and 17mm wrenches. I ordered the rest from Grainger, but these 2 are not in stock there either. The 10mm was yesterday and I'm pissed that I waited. Summit has them but I hate to pay $35 for the 2 shipped. If anyone has any extras, please let me know.

Thats the trouble with these sales. I can see people wanting to make money, but that is what kills it for us Regular guys who just want a good deal, and plan to keep and use the stuff.

Grainger's is still showing Craftsman Industrials available. Prices are not as cheap as what Sears had, but guess if you are trying to complete a set, is an option.
