Woke up this morning at 3am and checked out craigslist. There was a posting a few hours old for a Walker-Turner dual head drill press. Photos were fuzzy but price was right. Emailed seller that I would take it and met him this evening. Press is a 1200 series 15" press. Model 1211-22 which translates to:
Two spindle deluxe model, standard speed pulley and No 1 M.T. Spindle and production table.
As a deluxe model it includes optional belt guard, head raising assembly, push button switch and 1/2" chuck. Has original 1/2 HP motors.
This is an old unit SN is 0000005 and 0000006
The seller just moved in and previous owners left this in the garage. He just wanted it out. It was tough for the two of us to lift. I'm guessing close to 300lbs.
One head has a tapping tool on it.
I disassembled it in my driveway to load into the garage.
Not sure what I'll do with it yet. I'll clean it up and figure out what is broken/missing then decide if it is worth fixing or selling.
Head raising assembly is missing some parts.
