Hello,
I am new here. And new to machine work. I find a great interest in it and I like to see old vintage items become new and not find the way to the scrap yard.

I just acquired an oldie but goodie Atlas Bench Drill Press. It has NO tag on it as far as a serial number. It has a tag on the motor( 713141) and it has a number stamped on the plate that the motor is mounted on (MABD2-50).

I have no idea what size this is or model number.

It needs some tlc which I feel if I find the right parts I will work perfectly.
1). It runs now but the spindle has a slight bend that if you look close you can see a wobble.
2). the Pully is broke on the top. the bottom two are fine.
3). the chuck is broke I have it off but I would like to make sure I get the right size to replace it.

Any help would be greatly appreciative.

Which pulley is broken? Motor pulleys are often universal. Spindle pulleys, not so much.

How is the chuck broken?

Where is the spindle bent? If the same accident which broke the chuck bent the spindle, it's more difficult to straighten the end than the middle.

Close up photos get you more accurate advice.

Here's an old photo of mine. It's pretty complete. I can snap pics of whatever details you're looking for. This is about to become my primary drill press. I'm going to add a jack shaft to slow it down some.

Back on topic... that motor pulley is an easy item to find, new. It shouldn't be expensive, either.

Yes it threads on. Can you get a new shaft or have it machined to take out the slight wobble? If you can get a new shaft? who has them? and are they difficult to change out? do you need more photos?

again I sure DO appreciate the help.
