Wild to see a house all closed up with day light coming in under the walls. Neat house, but still wrapping my head around a pole built house. Certainly went up fast in **** weather.

No overhangs on the ends of the house ?
Started the bat and board siding on the west wall, the osb area will be covered by the trusses for the outdoor patio area.

Is the ground inside going to be thawed out before you put the insulation and lex down? The exterior looks phenomenal ! Love it!
Yes, been in the 40's lately and thawing out pretty good. I plate compacked all the gravel areas before the freeze started.

them trusses are gonna make a beautiful entry..great find
Thank you, it was a great deal and they are even better in person, pics dont do them justice.

Thanks guys, yes it has been too long on my update. Life has happened as it always does, work, kids and life all slowed me down.

My wife and I tackled the radiant floor heat setup ourselves.:eyecrazy: 7500 feet of pex pipe, 8 manifolds and a **** ton of zip ties. Plus 7500 square feet of foam board and 3m heat tape.

First was the foamboard, we used r10 2" in the shop. We covered the entire floor and 2" below the foam and 6" above the foam on the sides.

And what it looked like before we cut all the zip tie tails off. :eyecrazy: We also heat taped every single joint in the foambaord with 3M HVAC metal foil tape. Thinking this would keep the cold air from sneeking in.

some pics of the house too. House got R15 3" foamboard per coade, 8" below board and ^" above board. I bought 13 packs of 500 zip ties to do both buildings. I have about 80 left.

Inspections, inspections, inspections. Then it was concrete day !!!! They started at 630am and finished at 930pm, 14 guys, 10 to pour, 4 to finish.

630am day of pour I look down my driveway and see a convoy of 8 cement trucks coming in all with their flashers on. The pump truck set up and away we went.

it took 16 of these trucks to do both buildings all in one day.

What's the reasoning for no rebar?

monolithic slab, 4-6" thick, 2 layers of wire mesh and saw cut in many locations. Rebar under the doorways and garage doors. Concrete does not support any load what so ever in this set up, the posts hold all the weight.

The new concrete looks awesome. Concerning the posts in the center of the house, was anything special done to them ? Were they wrapped or anything ?

They were treated and the bottom was set on a 2 ft concrete footing as well.

All house interior walls are done, concrete is saw cut and we did the custom saw cut for the kitchen as well. I will get some pics for you guys. We saw cut 24" x 24" squares that will eventually become a tile " look " with grout and stain.
