After reading reviews about the mohawk lift and realizing it may solve some of the issues I have with my garage I tried to pursue pricing estimates. The ultimate result was a HUGE turn off.
1) They don't tell you the price on the web site - DING DING DING - HUGE RED FLAG.
2) Fill out the forms to get information and what do I get, more of the same stuff that they have online but now I have a person to contact for more info.
3) Contact that person and get more of the same **** back but still no price. Also get glossy info in the mail but still nothing more than I can find on the website.
4) I clarify to the contact that I already have all I need to know about the lift except for price. I express my concern that the lack of available pricing makes me feel it is beyond my budget and ask simply for an estimate so that I can determine if it is even worth pursuing further.
5) Finally get a straight answer and yes, it was beyond what I wanted to spend. I politely thanked the guy, moved the lift to be a remote possibility and thought this was over until I finished looking at the other options.
6) Sigh, its been a month now and I continue to receive mail and email from mohawk; they won't leave me alone. DANG - this is now just spam.
I'm not sure how others feel but to me this type of marketing is a huge turn off. The lift wasn't too far out of my budget and I was keeping it on the list as a remote possibility but this type of **** pisses me off and now no matter what I will not buy from them.
